LOL@MAMABUDDHA...I though I was the only one who ended up with a car full of kids in Life
Taboo is the funnest to play in a small group at a larger party...you get to talk about people & the don't even know it teehee I LOVE SLINGO!!! Back when I had AO-HELL that's where I spend 95% of my time |
I love board games too but it's really been a while since I've last played any.
Operation Taboo Jenga Candy Land Chutes and Ladders Monopoly (but I never learned to really play the game according to the rules..haha; my friends just made them up as we went. it was just fun to pass go, buy and sell property, and always try to get Broadway and Park Place) |

21 for drinking games |
In no particular order:
1) Balderdash - often played on holidays with the family. 2) Pictionary - or, as it's known in my family, Tackle Pictionary. We use a white board & get a little carried away. 3) Trivial Pursuit - the creme de la creme! I have actually traveled to other cities to play in tournaments - I have lost exactly two games!! My dad was/will forever be famous for his non-skill in Pictionary. One time, he drew a rectangle with a long dark line in the middle lengthwise. The word was "towel". Another of his famous drawings was another rectangle (do we see a pattern?) with three circles at the one end, somewhat like a domino. He kept pointing to the middle circle. The word was "chili". There's a local restaurant (Eat N Park, for Burgh people) that always has a salad bar with 2 soups and chili at the one end! |
My family always plays long, drawn out games of Pictionary. The best was when my 12 year old brother picked out "Playboy." While my dad drew the symbol and my mom guessed right away, I was trying to figure out why my brother's stick figure had huge boobs!

Just told my mama about this thread, and she asked if I had mentioned my dad's nonskill at Balderdash, too. When he was once the Dasher (the one who reads all the definitions), he laughed and said, "I can't even read my own writing!"
"Um, I'll take that definition, then..." |
