Any reason you're so interested in the handfull of pins beign sold by our brother? Are you vigilantes, tracking down all sellers of greek pins?

What is your motivation?

We should form our own militia. TGLOEBRUIC - The Greek Letter Organization Esoteric Badge Recollection Unilateral Initiative Coalition.

Success will be ours.

I agree. I am very interested when someone sells a LCA badge on ebay. If I had the money I would buy it/them.

GammaZeta 04-30-2007 07:59 AM

Lisa, you have a LONG way to go as a sister and sorority if you get that worked up over a pin.

GammaZeta 04-30-2007 08:21 AM

Looks like we have a good ol'fashioned internet fight on our hands. Before we progress any further, I suggest you read the following article:

Now before things progress any further sweetheart, I want you to put down the Twinkie, and the can of frosting, and the Pringles, and the brownie, and the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, and the Burrito Supreme, and the Doritos and take a deep breath.

You are about to start arguing on the internet, think about that for a second. Just relax, no one is going to take away your Extra Crispy K.F.C.

GammaZeta 04-30-2007 08:54 AM

Ya know, you're right. I really should have shown you some respect. I hope it's not too late to start, but I really respect the fact that you can type with your greasy little fingers and not have a typo in your post.

I think the important thing to remember is that some organizations view the pin as owned by the national organization. They "require" their members to be burried with the pin or return it to nationals. As far as I know we do not have such a policy. We view the badge as only a piece of jewlery which we own and can freely trade, sell, melt, etc.

I don't understand the obsession over "saving" pins, but it's not for me to judge other people's choice of how to spend their money. I don't think we should be questioning the devotion of other members to their organization, it is below us.

Tom, just delete this thread.... the cat fight btn GZ and the others is really just getting to be a pain...

GammaZeta 04-30-2007 02:48 PM

Hey, I didn't come from another board and start insulting brothers and LXA. Don't like it? Tough.

The reason this Post was started by This poster is for one reason and one reason only, an attack aginst me and only that!

She has a following of sheep who sniff where she follows and that is all!:o

The other Thread that she was refering to has sense been closed or deleted.

I am locking this thread and give it a moment and then will delete it.

I think most if not all of The Brothers know me and I am not out to rip people off as GeekyPenguin professed. In fact, I posted on the GPG thread information about one of their Pins that was Stolen..

Well, there is a lot of Greek Love isn't there?:(

Tom Earp 04-30-2007 03:37 PM

Because it has been requsited by Our Brothers via PM, I have reopened this thread so we can see in their words what they have posted and will post since the Post that GreesyPenguin was refering to!

That post was closed by one of the MODs.

I wish that I knew that that Post had been closed after what I posted and checked the Spelling to make sure it was correct for their perusal! :D

Kidding on that end of it!:)

If anyone wishes an explanation about certain Posters of the Cadre of Earp Haters, PLEASE PM Me!:)

Great GLO Members are they not?:o

Tom Earp 04-30-2007 03:38 PM

To me, he isn't selling a LXA pin, he's just selling a piece of metal with some jewels.

We have to give symbols their meanings. If someone wants to sell a pin, that's great for them.

Now, I noticed that many brothers say "DON'T SELL THE PIN, IT IS HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT". Or that we must keep it within the fraternity because it is a symbol and a part of our history. There is a lot of effort to preserve our past within the fraternity except...

What if I told you that HQ is in possession of probably our most historical, important and significant items right now? What if I told you HQ is going to destroy a piece from our very first ritual? An object that was directly used for our very first initiation?

How would you react? What would be your thoughts on that?

First thing that came to my mind...a potato. I thought you were joking.

Then I found out you were talking about a house. I can't help myself
to remember how much you dislike symbols and historical significance.
It's a house. It's made of boards, wood, bricks, nails, etc. It doesn't
mean anything. It doesn't stand for anything. Sure, it was important
at one time, but c'mon, it's just a house.

TEAR IT DOWN!

GammaZeta 04-30-2007 05:51 PM

Pi, it IS just a house, that was my point.

It's called a double standard.

Let us just go our way in spite of people out side of The Circle!
