So messed up on so many levels, but I thought a few things in her "ad" were funny:

Quote:

I play a level 70 night elf druid and would prefer someone who was into roleplaying (I have a costume!)

I won't be revealing my name or his, but suffice to say if I find any of you in-game I will be killing you 280% faster

he's getting double value for his gold :D

So talk all the trash you want, I got MY Epic flying mound AND I got laid which is more than most of you failures can ever hope for

Sounds like she was a little desperate to get some... haha

Some of my friends used to be into online gaming and told me for a few bucks on ebay, you can buy whatever kind of game currency you want... not sure why she didn't go that route

Because a. it's a bannable offense if Blizzard (the parent game company) finds out and b. buying gold can pretty much ensure your account will get hacked and then subsequently banned again.
Plus this was completely fake :)

I mean, it's okay to play. But I cannot stand those people who do nothing but sit on the computer and play WoW. They have no real friends or hobbies outside of a video game. They suck.

No no no.

We are talking about people that may be deficient in people skills and may have some emotional problems. So if playing WoW keeps them from becoming serial killes or mass murders . . I say let them play :)

It is now official. I am a dinosaur. A dinosaur who played D & D back in the day, but named her computer "Luddite". Sigh.
Although I did once have a student tell me that the fact I played D & D made me the coolest teacher EVER. What this says about him, I don't know. I'll take what I can get!

My bf in fact spent money to buy items on ebay for Diablo 2. :D

But how much does 5000 gold in WoW cost...I admit I play Neverwinter Nights and 5000 doesn't sound a lot to me, lol

And it reminds me that one South Park episode where they all sat in the basement and played WoW killing boars for days and nights just to upgrade themselves...the part where they crap on the floor was pretty bad, lol

JonInKC 04-22-2007 08:10 PM

5000 gold is about $800 to buy.

bwhahahahaha you had me at "world of warcraft"

im not gonna repeat any of what's been said above, except i too had a friend/coworker who was OBSESSED with d&d and Everquest. he would skip staff meetings to play the damn thing. and his hard drive was old as dust, and he was spending crazy money oon what i guess was the subscription fee to play it online with other people...

yeah. but if games keeps the crazies in, so be it.
(just thought of a HORIBLE joke but its really too soon...)

ilovemyglo 04-24-2007 12:07 PM

I will admit that made me laugh- namely because... well... I actually play WoW...
But getting a flying mount doesn't take that long to get.

Haha, are you a 4th WoWer here? The 'legit' sources for buying gold list 5k gold as around $800. Speaking of gold, I finally cracked 500 and I now have less than 100 to go for my epic kitty.
