Its so difficult when the names/photos/profiles of the victims start to be released in tragedies such as this. When you read about their hopes and dreams, the good things they did during their lives. Sometimes I get so broken up reading that information that I think perhaps I shouldn't...but I feel compelled to in some strange way, almost as if learning about that person's life will somehow show some sort of respect to their memory. I did see where one of the young women who was fatally wounded was "looking into joining a sorority" - not sure if she had taken steps to join a particular chapter (attending COR type events, etc.), or was just contemplating going through recruitment in the fall. |

A Phi Sigma Pi initiate of the Alpha Rho chapter was also among those fatally shot - may she rest in peace. :(

The Deltas and Omegas at Tech are all accounted for, thank God.
My prayers are with the injured and deceased. |
All Zeta Tau Alpha members are accounted for. My prayers and thoughts are with VT students and their families.
|
Per our national website, "National Headquarters has confirmed that all Sigma Kappa Sorority collegiate members of Epsilon Chi chapter at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University are accounted for and safe."
I cannot imagine what those who lost sisters/brothers/friends feel like right now, but my thoughts and prayers are with them. I am in Richmond, VA and it is all anyone can talk about. |
So the fatality count for GLOs still stand at one Kappa? And then 2 Pi Phis, and 1 ADPi injured?
Do we have any more GLO news? How are the Kappas doing? And how are the Pi Phis and ADPis? |
All Beta's are accounted for per our HQ website. Sad day for all of us. May they all rest in peace.
|
May God bless and keep all the GLO chapters that were affected by this and the entire Virginia Tech family....
|
All the Kappa Theta DZs are accounted for and safe.
Prayers with VT always.. |

Per SAE National:
EVANSTON, IL – Sigma Alpha Epsilon has been in touch with its members of the Virginia Zeta chapter at Virginia Tech University following the campus shootings. Eminent Archon Taylor Williams reports his members are safe and have been in communication with each other. None of them appears to be involved with the shootings. “All brothers of the Virginia Zeta chapter are accounted for and unharmed,” said Williams. “We do not know who the victims are or the gunman. And we appreciate all of the support we have received from the brothers around the nation who have called or e-mailed us.” The Fraternity Service Center has fielded several calls from concerned persons. |

All Tri Deltas are accounted for. My brother tells me all Sigma Pi's are accounted for too. No losses or injuries thank God! I just cannot believe this. We are all devastated, mourning for the lost and praying for all their families.
