Posters.. YOu need lots and lots and LOTS of posters. From movies, etc.

Posters or framed pictures to liven up your walls.

A cork board or french memo board to stick up receipts, important messages, or just fun stuff.

At least one bookshelf, either for books or just for knick-knacks. :)

NoLongerGreek-- I think you have the same shower curtain as my roommate and me. I love how it brightens up our sterile white bathroom.
My roommate and I are poor so we didn't do much decorating, but the room came furnished and my roommie changed around the furniture and got plants which made a big difference. Plants add life to a room.
I didn't want to buy much bc i am moving out of state so i am trying ot get rid of stuff. i am dontating old sheets to the student humane society bc they needed old sheets and towels to keep the dogs warm this winter at the shelter. i also donated stuff ot a sinlge mom at work.
SO when i move I need a new color scheme.

An apartment isn't home without a fishtank and some live plants. Everything else is just stuff.

A beanbag seat and a nice area rug for the living room. You could go with a seashell design for the bathroom.
