Thanks for the PSA. My fiance and I are currently looking to furnish our house.

My mother in law use to work for Bay Furniture, who owns/owned Ashley (actually, after 50 years, Bay went out of business because they put too much money into Ashley) and she said that all the sales and delivery people from Bay use to tell her never to get anything at Ashley because they were over priced and their furniture was not put together well.
Not a good sign when even some of your workers are telling other people not to go there. I am sorry you had to go through this and wish you the best at getting your problem solved!! |
Get this...
My sister bought a sectional from Ashley Furniture, and something broke on the recliner part. They had purchased an extended warranty (two boys under the age of 3) and since it was only a month or two after she bought it, she called to have them replace/repair the broken part. They came out, replaced that section, then told her that her warranty that she purchased was now void because she used the warranty.
WTF??? I told her to pull out her warranty paperwork and call the hell out of the people at the corporate office until she gets a true answer because I just can't believe this one! (I don't know if she's followed up or not). Needless to say, she's spreading the "Don't Shop at Ashley Furniture" warning as well. PsychTau |
