I want to know what makes Oefelein such a prize to these women....Is he worth it?

I feel sorry for Nowak's husband and kids. Could you imagine the embarrassment?

I would love to hear how Oefelein found out about this. Can you imagine waking up and seeing on CNN that some woman had gone crazy over you?

On another note, I feel for her estranged husband and kids - especially the teenaged son. I can't imagine the crap he will have to deal with over this.

I knew it. They are dropping the attempted murder charges against her. I heard it this morning on CNN.

Yahoo! even ran a story about how many "astronaut diaper" searches they had.

Wouldn't you just love to be in a position to get to monitor search requests? Bet you'd have a ball at work!

Astronaut Lisa Nowak was fired by NASA on Wednesday, a month after she was arrested for attempted kidnapping in Florida, the space agency said.
Nowak, 43, was arrested Feb. 5 after police said she drove 900 miles from Houston to Orlando wearing an adult diaper in order to avoid stops so that she could confront a romantic rival.

Yeah I saw that in the New York Times today... apparently she was only on loan from the Navy and she wasn't even technically working for NASA... I don't really understand that, but ok.

When a military officer/warrant officer/NCO is selected as an astronaut, they're assigned NASA as a special duty or 'detail'. When they leave or are removed (as CAPT Nowak was) from NASA, they return to their parent military service.

Methinks CAPT Nowak, USN is going to be given RILO (Resign In Lieu Of [a court-martial], in her case, 'Retire' since she already has over 20 years in), then hand her over to face silly-vilian justice.

I know one of the people who will be working on her case--and he loves to screw people over as much as he can. We'll see what happens.
