Well, it's Harris Teeter, but you know...

And as a former Yankee, I find it funny as well.

There's Piggly Wiggly too. That name is always makes me chuckle :D.

It's like you guys never seen snow before? My god...

NUBlue&Blue 02-03-2007 10:59 AM

We get it about once every three years, so yes it is a big deal. I grew up in the great white north, so I think snow is highly overrated. But my kids love it and it's an excuse to take a day off.

But thanks for asking.

They don't do that in the Detroit area... well maybe in Southwest or something.

I remember seeing it on the news that they were doing that in NYC. But I believe it's because they had a power outage there. No air conditioning when it's 90+ degrees out would really suck. I think I'd consider hacking apart a fire hydrant too even though I'm a native of the South and use to extremely high temperatures!

ZZ-kai- 02-03-2007 07:37 PM

-5 right now, about -40 wind chill. I'd kill to be 'iced in right now'...

ZZ-kai- 02-04-2007 10:56 AM

Oh hang on, yeah, it's -15 now. Greeeeaaatt.

AOIIalum 02-04-2007 11:00 AM

It's a balmy +1 here now with a wind chill of -15. At least the sun is shining.

AGDee 02-05-2007 12:06 AM

White out conditions, 1 degree with a windchill of -10 and idiots think it's smart to go 70 on the freeway. HELLO PEOPLE!!! SALT DOESN'T WORK WHEN IT'S THIS COLD!!!!!!!!! THAT MEANS ICE ON THE FREEWAYS! WAKE UP!
They scared the crap out of me. And then the kids started bickering.. grrrrr
