Most GLOs want to be associated with "THE FLAGSHIP" schools=States major Un. Trust me, there are only 3 Zetas in Kansas but a lot of schools. It is getting harder each time a new GLO comes to a campus where there are many GOLs there. It is a thing called MONEY! |
What schools would you like to see Lambda Chi Alpha colonize or recolonize at? Just a simple question.
|
One that's close to ME!
Either Frostburg State in Maryland or University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in PA. Bringing back the chapters at Indiana U of PA and Slippery Rock would be nice too. They've both been gone for over 10 years. I'd like to see Lambda-Gamma at Lock Haven come back, too, but I'm told it's not likely. |
Georgetown (D.C), American Univ., Johns Hopkins, Washington Univ in Eastern Maryland (was TKN, chapter didnt decide to go Lambda Chi after the merger), Catholic Univ. (had a colony for about 5 minutes in the early 80's), Loyola (private Baltimore school not sure if they have greek life),Frostburg and Salsbury State to round out the MD schools. UVA, WVU, George Mason, Duke. if we want quality guys, need to be at quality schools.

Missouri State Un. Recharter in Springfield Mo. Emporia State Un. in Kansas. Witchita State Un., Kansas. NW Mo. State Un., Mo. SW Mo. State Un., Mo. recharter. St, Joesph, Mo. Missouri Southern State Un. Joplin, Mo. Of course it will not happen. Nothing bad intended. |
FORMER CHAPTERS: Western Illinois, Bradley & Southern Illinois/Carbondale, Univ. of Chicago, Minnesota, Wisconsin/Madison, Wisconsin/Whitewater, Indiana State...
POTENTIAL CHAPTERS (NEVER BEEN THERE): Monmouth, Milliken & Lake Forest (all in IL)... The point about being @ "major campuses" makes sense, but most of the GLOs I deal w/are repped on "mid-major" & smaller campuses (e.g. Wisconsin/Stout). Brotherhood's brotherhood, last time I checked... |
Most of the major univ.s in Florida have a chapter. UNF and USF have both been suspended, but I believe they will be re-open relatively soon. St. Leo's had a colony and Rollings had a chapter. I would like to see Rollings reopen as they were Florida-Alpha of TKN.

EM1843, boz130, Mooch279 you all had great ideas for chapters I would like to see open. Another to add in Florida I would say is Florida Gulf Coast U, it has a very young greek system there. I think Lambda Chi would be a good fit there. |

Plenty more room in St. Louis with us...got a good foothold now: Wash U (Risk Management nightmare tho...wet campus) SLU UMSL Logan Chiropractic (does have greeks) Harris Stowe (large greek there too) Webster University Forest Park Missouri Baptist Florrisant Valley St Charles Not that any of these mean anything to someone outside of STL or MO...I'm just showing there's lots of college and lots of potential Greek... In ZAX, BE |

Do you know how the fairly new AA is doing there? SWMo is now Mo. State Un. so it should be growing just because of the name change. The House, while I did not know that We still owned it was a big house is also one of the closest to Campus.. The Chapter did have major R M problems! Drury Un. has a new house and is an outstanding Zeta in Springfield, Mo!!! Same City. Funny as it may seem, there are many rumors that the house is bad with omens and the main reason is the Red Painted door!:) Hey, I did not make this up!:D It would be nice to have recharters whether it is first or new schools who are expanding. Boz, while it is ideal to have Flagship State Uns., we are at a point I feel in time where the smaller State Schools actually have a better growth pattern and a lot less expensive to go with. It is a two prong colonization. Expanding and not with a huge cost. Built with respect and not go broke. It is cost preventive when there are more Chapters in an area for the ELCs to vist and cost effective. With Your expertise, you have a lot of information beyond what many of us have!:) Thanks and giver Your Bride My Best! |

Thanks for the congrats! I guess word travels fast around the country! I think our Alumni Association has folded. lxastl.com or stllxa.com was their website. It hasn't been fiddled with in a year. I've heard nothing of them. |
