Apparently, Connie Chung is really embarrassed to have gone to Maryland! :(

Interesting, since that should be so low on her list of things to be embarrassed about.

This is no longer true. There is a clip of here from the David Letterman show where he asked here where she went to school and she sort of mock-whispered Maryland. I am sure that this is where people got this idea and while I have never heard her explain it, she seems to have come around.

Since then I believe that she was approached by the University and has since become an involved and pround alum. She attends events both here in NYC and goes to College Park for major events as well, I think she was inducted into our Alumni Hall of Fame and I know she goes to the major gala every year, I believe she was emcee of it a few years back.

As I said in my previous post I had the pleasure of meeting her at a Maryland Alumni event last year, she was a panel moderator for a large event here in NYC and was great. She looks FANTASTIC in person for a woman of her age.

Good, because she shouldn't be!!

I believe that the co-chair title is the result of 500K donation. I know that she and Maury have also established a chair in the college of journalism in honor of his father. They have done an amazing job of giving back.

Connie and Maury are friends with my grandmother, so I could find out for sure and let you know!

I do believe you were the one coming in and making a completely unnecessary comment, not Leslie Anne. She had already commented about how she went to Maryland etc. etc. -if I'm not mistaken that counts for at least more than your "contribution." If you don't care then just stay quiet and don't bother commenting. It's comments like yours that start nasty, off-topic, pointless rants.
