Vets in my family as well. A pole does not deserve respect. A the meaning behind the flag does though.

Precisely - I think a lot of us would be outraged if a person knocked the pole down, but wind knocks things down. It happens.

One would think that some of the more semi intelligent posters would realize that if there was a Flag Pole, I would have a Flag on it.

I guess not.:o

Yes, please practice safe sex. Flagpoles without flags can spread disease, kiddos!

How do you PLANT a pole? Did you honestly expect it to grow? Perhaps you watered it too much with your whiskey, Tommy boy...

Btw, my VETERAN father (served in Iraq, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Kuwait, etc. along with 20 years of military service as a pilot of Apaches in various countries) thought this thread was a really funny one. He laughed when he read it at first. Then, he asked me what dumbass started it.

Considering that if the wind was that bad you should have taken down the flag long before the pole got knocked down...I had no reason to think there was a flag on it.

Amen...maybe the flag pole should have been taken down a while ago also; that flag pole might have killed someone whilst falling (Welcome to Lawsuit City, Population: You). Was this pole professionally installed into the ground or was it some half-@$$ amateur installation job?

Oh, but then it would've been the lawyers fault the pole killed someone and he was sued.

Lawyers don't kill people. Tom Earp's self-impotence kills people.
