Eta Epsilon at Miami University took quota plus - 53 gorgeous new Alphas!
|
I'm not srue of the official number now, but I heard earlier today that Eta Chi, Villanova, pledged 10 Alphas! YAY ETA CHI!!:D :D
[sidenote] I went there to Preference to just help out - my first time as alum at anything and not as an advisor! I thought, "Oh so this is what the manuals mean by alum support at Recruitment!" :p |
Any news from Vanderbilt?

First day of recruitment for the chapter I advise - going to be heading down there within the hour and will be there each day through bid day :)
|
I will *try* to update later tonight, but I just wanted to post a message about how PROUD I am of the chapter I advise :)
I'm actually getting ready to head down for bid day, so I'm hoping to post the good news later tonight!!! :D |
Epsilon Omega at Jacksonville University did hand out a bid last week. :)

From my understanding, quota was 42, we matched 44, AND picked up two women in COR yesterday!!!
Last night was very busy for the USD girls! :D |

Hi Sisters!
I didn't realize that Zeta Chi's recruitment results was such a hot topic on the board or I would have updated this earlier. Unfortunately, the recruitment stats given that are cut and pasted are sometimes outdated from old reports or have been incorrectly communicated from the chapters, and then those numbers are sent out from E.O. to specific people in the organization. I honestly don't like to post results, as this is an open forum and anyone from anywhere can read this, but in this case, the incorrect postings have caused some challenges on our campus with people not believing that we have done as well as we have. So, to correct this, here are our final recruitment results: we not only have achieved quota of 58, but also recruited the additional five junior spaces, which means we have 63 new members for this Spring, the maximum any chapter on our campus is allowed to recruit. We are very proud of our new members and the chapter as a whole for working so hard to achieve this success. Our alumnae have actually reserved an ad in the school paper to congratulate them on their multi-year achievement. I am certainly not wanting to stir anything up as I know there was never an intention of doing harm, and I know that it is convenient to fill everyone in on what is happening all over the country in the easy cut and paste format that is on the recruitment stats reports, but as some of this information is not correct nor current, I know first hand that this causes rumors to be started on campuses, or people that might consider joining and then decide not to based on seeing the numbers on the site. And, if it happened at one campus, it certainly happens on others. Not only is it tough when a chapter has done well and people don't realize it due to miscommunications, but also a chapter that might have done poorly in Formal Recruitment and are trying to COR can have additional challenges if people know just how far below quota they are. I agree that it is great to hear though of people from individual chapters who have first hand knowledge of recruitment results and get up to the minute COR progress, and I know we all love to hear and share in the successes of each chapter - I have no issue with that at all. I would just ask respectfully that we not share information unless we are positive it is correct and we respect privacy of statistics from documents that are not sent to everyone or posted on the open side of our organization's website. I would hope that we might consider refraining from passing on that info in open forums in the future now that we have had some challenges as a result. |
I actually agree with ADPi1st&Finest.... I've felt this way for sometime. It's nice to see how things are going at chapters, but like ADPi1st&Finest mentioned, this can have adverse effects as some of the information may not be accurate, may create rumors and/or discourage women from joining if it appears the local chapter is having number issues.
I think a lot of this info is best kept on our other board... nudgenudge... because it is not a public forum. |
I can stop posting the EO results (which are only as good as a chapter reports through the New Member Registration System) but that doesn't stop the discussions- are we suggesting to stop this thread completely so that chapters not doing as well in recruitment are not being publicized on here?
Honestly I'm not aware that even all sisters on this board go and check the private ADPi website message boards- if the results were placed there, will sisters from here check there? |
