Well someone's been splashing my personal information around the board so I figured everyone would know by now. My mum is voting Tuesday and I know she's voting democrat straight across the board which makes me happy. I'm stupid, I have all the paperwork filled out, I just don't have the passport photos done. If I get those taken, I can send in my application and have my citizenship by next year.

I'm definitely voting, but I'm disappointed my bf he's not gonna vote because he said he doesn't want to involve in politics and his vote won't count anyway....:mad:

But to me, voting is more than exercising your right, it's paying respect to the soldiers and everyone who fought for the very existance of this country. No matter what side you're on, everyone should vote. :)

Not only that, but I do it to pay respect to my mother, relatives, and all those who came from countries that didn't allow their citizens to vote.

I totally agree. I would rather someone shows up at the polls, and doesn't vote for anyone than sit back on their lazy behinds and complain.

I haven't missed an election day since I was able to vote. If you count campaigning, I haven't missed one since I was five years old!

Ditto. My great-grandmother was a sufragette. My great aunt was once the President of the Michigan and Virginia League of Women Voters. My grandmother was President of the Detroit League and my mom was the President of the Warren (MI) League. If I didn't vote, they'd probably haunt me forever. There have been tiny little elections where I was voter #16 at my precinct at 6 pm in the evening. That's just sad. But, I always vote.

Political mailings I can handle, but I've had 12 anti-Jennifer Granholm recorded phone messages this weekend alone. I'm sick of it.

I vote absentee so I get all my calls at my mom and dad's house - I'm happy to let them deal with it. :)

I'm going to vote for everything on the ballot because I feel like it is my duty, and I tried to be informed, but...I don't know who I'm going to vote for in the u.s. senate race. There are three candidates that I know of, I don't like color coded politics.

I just realized that I haven't received one political phone call. Maybe that's the advantage of VoIP?

However, I could wallpaper my office with the political mailings I've received. Hey Ned Lamont -- save a tree, willya??

Up earlier than usual and heading out to vote before work. I hope the lines aren't too long, but I do have an awesome boss who says "If you need to be late because you're voting, that's ok".

I got up early to vote before work - it was just me and the old ladies volunteering for the day. It's definitely a different atmosphere than voting in Boston; plus I didn't have to deal with any campaigners at that hour.

A U.S. Rep race will be interesting, but Lieberman has opened up a solid lead on Lamont, and the Governor's race was over months ago, so it shouldn't be too exciting around here. I'm interested to see the results of the MA Governor's race though, to see if it turns out to be a runaway for Patrick.

There was a decent crowd when I went to vote this morning, but the volunteers moved things along very quickly. However, I didn't get my "I voted" sticker. :(

Sticker aside, I'm hoping that this will be the first election where the person I voted for actually wins! :p
