Oooh, how was the flaming coffin? I think ours is much more attractive than the one in The Initiation of Sarah.

Congratulations sister :)

Please do update us on the sacrificial goat. :D

Congrats!
(Did you have a hard time eating a violet while doing a shot of blood?)

I have mastered that move. Now, the one thing I have always had trouble with is the hand stand, back handspring, double turn with high leg-double twisting tuck jump.

Drolefille 11-07-2006 11:54 AM

I'm too old for that now. I'm glad alums only have to do a few cartwheels.

I don't know about the sacrificial goat, maybe it's a florida thing, but we used a sacrificial dove instead. The blood was ok as long as you pretended it was koolaid (at least that's what my alum Sigkapsweetie said to do)

SigKapSweetie 11-07-2006 10:25 PM

I know you don't have anything to compare it to yet, ufdale, but the midget this year was fantastic!

Okay, to bring the thread back to the original topic... (I'm amused though!)...my favorite part is the excitement when you randomly talk to someone and find out they're a sister, and you feel this special connection that makes you both smile!

I do enjoy this. I was sitting at a table drinking my soda when a random girl asked if she could also sit at my table. I smiled & said yes. Imagine my surprise when she pulled off her sweater & she was wearing a SK tanktop. She was a La Verne member & I'm an alum. We had a very nice talk before we both had to rush off to class.

REASON #25 (hint hint we're starting a pattern, fellow post whores)
I love our handsign! It looks cutesy and less like a gang sign.

I co-sign this (pun intended). Ours is so cute! I like both the heart/doves and the heart/doves/triangle, but the latter seems to come out better in pictures.

I love when a friend goes through rush and joins SK!

Your professor is an alumna of the Gamma Eta chapter at Ball State & proceeds to fascinate you with stories of her time as an undergrad SK! :D

I met an awesome alumna from a big southern chapter. She told me stories of rush in the mid 90's with over 1000 girls rushing. Really eye opening considering I'm used to rush of about 300-350 women.
