Holy shit! i think her ass better start using her phone minutes!
Me and texting don't get along...I am not one who can create a message in 5 seconds--more like 5 minutes Quote:

I don't like text messages either.. infact I don't like cell phones. I have one, but it's always turned off. I only use it if I have an emergency-- such as my car breaks down, or I'm going to be late meeting someone.

I wish they made a phone that was just a phone. I don't play games, check my email, text or take photos with my phone. I don't need an appointment reminder or day planner or an alarm clock on my phone.
I just need it to store numbers and make calls! Why don't they make simple phones anymore? |
I think they do, but they're all "pay as you go" phones.

And my friend recently broke up with her bf....
and her bf texted-dumped her....umm, now talking about "wave of the future" hehe :D . What next, "omg, my bf facebook-dump me?! " But I felt really bad for her afterwards. He doesn't deserve her =P |
I like texting because I really don't like talking on the phone. Also, my new phone has this AWESOME thing where I can use "voice mode" to text -- it transcribes what I say. It's not perfect, but it does a pretty good job -- much better than that T9 crap, which I don't like at all.

I text message very occasionally. I always spell things out though - chatspeak annoys me. And if I need to have an actual conversation, I use the phone rather than texting.
|
I text, but I spell everything out... and it's only little stuff, I HATE HATE HATE having "conversations" through Text.

I pay the extra $5 to get/send unlimited texts and it's funny because I have the plan with the least amount of minutes. I'm on the phone pretty much all day at work and I absolutely hate talking on the phone after hours unless I really have to. I was the one in middle school/high school you couldn't get off the phone... now you're lucky if I'm even on the phone five minutes because I can't stand it. |

My friend has her texts blocked because she was geting porn advertisments, and it bothers me. Each time I call her, I tell her to turn the text on again. I text because I can't talk on the phone during the day. |
I started texting when I lived in Australia in 2002 because it was HUGE there. I got back to the US and only one person I knew even knew what it was. I have a few friends that I text, but like pretty much everyone here, I refuse to use chatspeak. Nothing drives me more insane. It's good for when I'm at work and don't want to be taking personal calls all day tying up my business line.

I LOVE text messaging. I hate chatting on phones, I like to have it for basic questions, making plans, etc, but the second someone goes "so whats up?" I have to end the conversation. I think texting is great because I can ask "What time are we meeting up tonight?" and they respond with an answer...usually drawn out, but my friends know that I refuse to be drawn into a conversation, and am happy with just what I need to know.
