I vote yes. We are totally cool enough to have a mod. Yay Drolefille!

BaylorBean 10-13-2006 09:45 AM

Any word on moderator status??? Do we need to start a PM campaign to John?

BetteDavisEyes 10-13-2006 09:49 AM

He already PM'd me a few weeks ago. Names have been put into his "For Consideration" status. It will then be decided upon by the other mods before we get one.

Drolefille 10-13-2006 10:22 AM

I'd just be happy if any Sigma Kappa were moderating. :)

I hate browsing the forums and seeing XYZ ritual posted in a thread for long periods of time because there isn't a mod of that forum. (Long periods is relative) You just have to report it and hope that John fixes it.

Of course, if anyone wants to PM John, I don't mind that either :)

SigKapSweetie 11-09-2006 12:13 AM

Bump for moderator plskthx.

Drolefille 11-09-2006 10:25 AM

I'll repeat my previous statement: If ANY moderator is chosen by Friday I'll shut up for a week. (I may or may not renew this offer)

BetteDavisEyes 11-09-2006 09:55 PM

Still waiting huh?

Drolefille 11-09-2006 10:59 PM

Hey, I said I'd shut up for a week :D You'd think someone would jump on that! :p

So are there like required hours to be a mod? What kind of work actually goes into being a mod?

BetteDavisEyes 11-10-2006 09:46 PM

I don't think there are required hours but it is probably a good thing if the mod spends at least some time on the forum each day to make sure that there's nothing "controversial" i.e. For Sisters Only stuff posted on here.

_Lisa_ 11-11-2006 10:28 AM

I don't think this is happening, John's been around recently & we still don't have a mod. Honestly, I would take anyone who is around enough to help prune our forum just the littlest bit, even a non-SigKap.

We're active enough to justify a moderator.

Drolefille 11-11-2006 06:01 PM

Seriously, it should not be that difficult to make a SK a mod though. Pick one. Any one. I don't want to have to PM a non sister and say "psst, that's ritual, delete it" you know?

ufdale 11-11-2006 10:54 PM

There are tons of other sororities and fraternity that don't have nearly as much activity as us and they have mods!

I agree, but at this point I'll take who we can get. As it is now, we're PMing a non-Sig Kap to delete stuff: John. Except he isn't active enough to delete things faster than someone else who is around all the time.

I know. :(

Yeah but I think we've been lucky too. How many pieces of people's ritual have you seen on here at different points in time? Somehow John seems above it all, but I really wouldn't want most of the current moderators... not anything against them personally. If that happens we should get to vote on who that non-SK mod is. It shouldn't just be left up to the other moderators.

(Gah, Tom Earp, moderator of the SK forum! :()
