Hey, whoa. I'm not trying to troll...
Carolina blue said in her first post that the girl joined recruitment because of some "not-so-gentle persuasion" on her part. To me, that sounds like she was pushing her into it. If that's what happened and she had ended up being really upset about her results, it might easily have caused a rift. I'm just saying that carolina blue lucked out that her friend wasn't bothered about being dropped. I guess I didn't phrase that as well as I could have. |
carolina blue-Are you a member of a house on campus? I was confused as to why you thought greek was such a good idea for these girls if you yourself was not a member. If you are not, had you thought of rushing now? I don't know what year you are or if you had rushed your freshman year.
I am glad your friend enjoyed the little time she had with rush. I think that she met some girls will be a big help to her, especially if she decides to rush next year! |

If paying dues is such a hassle, I think you're better off GDI. |
CB... I understand that greek life isn't for everyone during college. Maybe you will find a group to join after college. As to the dues issue.. I think that you were being funny and it came off wrong. Dues are a hassel for some people... especially when you have other finance priorities. I think that you were an awesome friend to let her know about recruitment and encourage her to get out of her comfort zones.

well, i for one didn't take offense and think it was really neat that even though you were not able to become a member, that you encouraged your friends to check it out!!
|
I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work out for your friend. :(
|
thanks for sharing your friend's story. i am sorry it didn't work out as well as she hoped. i hope she enjoys her first semester of college.

I don't hate you... I was trying to defend you... I think that you did a great job!
