Brandon I don't think he thinks you're "young" anymore. LOL. :p

I'm right there behind you with my cane because I'm almost 25. :)

I remember when your TKE brothers rushed at my campus, they'd never ever mention the Ron Jeremy urban legend. They never acknowledged him as a brother and though they could have used the repulsive and disgusting man as a rush PR tool, they knew they were better of NOT associating the good TKE name with SMUT.

But remember, that was my campus. And that was only a few years ago.

It just goes to show that you don't have to be a grandpa or a grandma to feel the way most do about the guy.

Ron j.

I hate to veer off the subject, we were talking about wether or not Ron is a member, and you brought up smut. And bagged on my moral judgement about Ron and his line of work. You are missing the point. But I would like to post how every man in the back of their minds in America think about Ron Jeremy. First Ron has been in almost 4,000 women (that alone has the respect of all men around the world), every man in America, yes even our fathers think he is a god. Lets face it every man thinks as a young college male. But of course we must act like gentlemen around our mothers, sisters, wifes etc. And of course you hate Ron, your a women. Unlike women, men in the back of their minds think the same about sex. Dont believe me, ask your significant other if he wants to watch an "adult film" with you. More than likely he will accept your invintation. And if he says no, then he is a smart man hiding his inner sex thoughts from you, so he doesn't scare you away. And if you still don't believe me, I live with thirty guys, and yes we all think the same as your significant other. That is that, and yes you wont agree with me, but remember, I also am a gentlemen and never have told a lady about Ron being a member, but of course I tell every man I meet, because he will understand me, and you will not. Call me a pig, and not giving TKE a good WORD, well I wake up everday giving TKE a good name by my actions on campus and around the house. Oh ya one more thing, the new blood on all campuses are closet freaks, and love to watch "adult films" (including the women). Look up what a closet freak is and you will finally understand what all this gibberish I am writing is about. maybe saying young was the wrong thing, more like the new blood on campus.

I thought Ron Jeremy now tours the country giving talks on safe sex. That doesn't strike me as smutty...

Tequito ZZ #550 04-08-2004 11:04 AM

Not only does he tour the country teaching about safe sex and abstinance, he also holds two degrees in acting and education as well as having a very popular comedy routine.

I asked an alumni from my chapter that works for IHQ about the Ron Hyatt (Jeremy) rumor, he said that IHQ does not reconize him as a member, as stated before. Kinda sucks but I guess it makes sense. But hey if it makes a great RUSH tool for some guys, so be it...

RhoTauTeke 04-08-2004 10:27 PM

a bunch of us had met ron jeremy last year at Deja Vu. We introduced ourselves to him and he was a really cool guy. Oh yeah, he signed our TKE shirts too.

Nu-Mu356 04-08-2004 10:51 PM

If you watch that Ron Jeremy documentary you will have a whole new perspective on the man. Whether you like to believe it or not, Ron Jeremy makes for a better rush tool than some of our more popular famous tekes.

TKE: "You know... Terry Bradshawis a TKE."
Rushee: "Oh, cool."
TKE: "Yeah, so is Ron Jeremy."
Rushee: "Ron Jeremy?"
TKE: "Yeah"
Rushee: "Are you serious?"
TKE: "Yup"
Rushee: "Kick ass"

in today's day and age... younger kids don't care about the status of some of our more notable famous tekes like Elvis, or Willie, or even Reagan (the new crop is too young to remember him)... but they all know one thing... Ron Jeremy.

Not to mention he makes for funny TKE t-shirts

I think the porn star pledged but then dropped, from what I've read at least

RhoEtas231 04-20-2004 11:30 AM

I dont believe that IHQ will sue any undergrad that promotes Ron Jeremy in a rush flyer. The reason being.... why would IHQ look to hurt one of its own chapters, an income producer. If anything, I see IHQ backing any and all of its chapters against any allegation outside of hazing (or another life threating/harming misfortune) to keep it active. As much as I hate shelling out my money just to remain active, they are the most supportive of all the National fraternities on my campus (the free professionally done rush pamphlets and flyers, etc).

Secondly, I had our annual visit from out Regional consultant a little over a year ago and he saw a flyer in which Ron Jeremy was on and didnt say anything.

I think it is wrong for IHQ to reject him because hes a porn star. I dont think its right to reject anyone on their background. If they portray values of a good brother i think that should be enough and in all the stories i have heard of Ron Jeremy he has portrayed the same Values as Willie Nelson. It seems to me Ron interacts with more TKES than ANY OTHER FAMOUS ALUMNUS.

As for Pee Wee being a TKE. I've heard it. I dont think its that bad. Besides being caught beatin it. He was in a few cool movies. Mystery Men, Blow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the original movie) and even did some stuff in Cheech and Chong Movies.

Pee Wee Herman...frater

TKE has never had a chapter at Northwestern Oklahoma at Alva;
two (or more) attempts to go on there have failed.
It is my understanding that Southeastern Oklahoma at Durant was the chapter who initiated Rubens....Pee Wee....He got caught slapping the leather in a movie house in Florida. The TKE
chapter in Durant is now one of the 200+ dead chapters of our
Fraternity. People got all bent out of shape 'cause we initiated
Lawrence Welk, then Elvis, then Willie...I think I will toss in my
badge if we initiate the greatest sleaze bag of all...Bill Clinton
As regards Pee Wee...in the whole scheme of things, does it really matter? Keep the trivia questions coming, though!

EpsilonKappaAXi 04-21-2004 10:03 PM

Is there something wrong with Lawerence Welk, Elvis, or Willie?

I would be Proud to call Bill Clinton a frater if he was ever intiated. Least he isn't Nixon.

Well, He is not a man of sterling character nor is he a man of staunch uprightness.

Continuing on that, He is not exactly a man with excellent personal worth or character.

Yes but if he were a brother we should show him love charity and esteem
