I am planning to fly to London this weekend. As is my usual practice, I will have a ham sandwich in my briefcase, or if no food is allowed I will have some pigskin driving gloves with me. If one of those moral cowards makes a move to take out the plane my plan is to simply belt him with my ham annointed knuckles or my driving gloves and tell him 'go on and do your thing shit head, you are now defiled'. A Muslim chaplain from my active Army days told me that the strict interpretation was if a Muslim so much as touches pork he is defiled and cannot enter paradise untill purefied, even if a martyr. This is not held by all Muslims but fundamentalists do seem to accept this concept, I am told.
I have no patience with those who seek to do horrible things in the name of God and try to justify their actions as "God's will". I don't care if the shit head in question is Muslim, Jew, or Christian, the last time I looked the COMMANDMENT "Thou shalt not do murder" applies to us all. The sort of murderous cowardice these terrorists practice is a lie before God and I suspect He would be royally furious at such blasphemy. As a side thought, the American people tend to be slow to anger and will forgive a lot, but once that anger is aroused... |
The MI5 and MI6 (british intelligence and major crimes...CIA and FBI basically) are pretty thorough, but they've been having some major PR problems following a mis-procedure searching for chemical weapons in London's suburbs a few months ago, and there's still some fallout from the 7/7 bombings.
Just got done talking to my friends in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Luton...basically, everyone's staying home. Airports are simply pointless at this stage. some are chosing to queue, but the connecting flights are going to be a mess. As for the hand luggage- the discount airliners make a FORTUNE off of Brits taking weekend trips and flying to Ireland/the continent for business- taking only a carry on. |
Even in the seriousness of this situation...I couldnt help but find myself laughing at dekeguy's post

Fighter Jets keep taking off from Dobbins in Atlanta. A lot more than usual. They must really be worried something is going to happen

So, um, I am by no means an expert on explosives, but from what I heard on the news this morning, my understanding is that people might bring, say, two different liquids onto a plane and the shit happens when they get mixed together. So, um, WTF:
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/dayart...50SEATAC02.jpg Is it really a good idea to, you know, just be mixing all this shit together, just in case there's something bad in there? |
