This didn't surprise me at all, which shows how much I think of Mel Gibson. He's a complete nutjob.

Ok, so reading on Slate.com

.12 = 5-6 drinks for each hour assuming that he's a normal drinker. As he has said that he's fighting alcoholism, it takes even more drinks to get up to that level.

While I'm sure some here have surpassed that consumption, he wasn't exactly sipping club soda.

With all of the other stuff going on in the world, is it really wrong of me to find it really hard to care whether an actor/director -- even a big deal like this one -- is an alleged anti-semite semi-alcoholic?

Not at all. That was how I felt when Lance Bass came out.

I don't think it's the most important thing going on in the world by a long shot, but if someone is making movies and (theoretically) influencing people with those movies then I think his racist and misogynistic statements are a problem. :)

Well, cut Gibson a break on that. The entire Hollywood community makes me want to throw up. They are modern day court jesters, here for our entertainment. Every time I see someone who has made a career of stalking celebrities, I die a little inside. Seriously, when Angelina Jolie goes to Home Depot, and you're excited about it cause she's getting a new showerhead, kill yourself.

Drunk or not...angry or not...the abundance of the heart will always be relayed through one's words...once they are out in the atmosphere you can't change them....people will forever remember them, apology or no apology....

Haha, I don't think any of us are saying that it's an earth-shattering event. However, it's mildly interesting, so why not talk about it?
