I'd like to know what it is too. I'm surprised no one around here knows! :)

Ok, so another decal question. Those simple white ovals with letters inside them. What were they originally for? Now I see people spelling things out, or having greek letters in colors etc. but originally there were white ovals with black letters and usually the oval was ringed in black as well.
Anyone? |

Lol, it just seemed like they had more of a purpose before... and now are just decorative.

Like I've said, I've seen them with all sorts of things now including Greek letters and such. |

When you stop to think of it, the pure simplicity of the design is brilliant, because people really do look at it. It's hard to miss. |

I've been meaning to ask questions about a decal at work. I'm convinced it is a fraternity symbol but I can't recall which one. It is very simple, a circle with a triangle in it. Any ideas?

Right side up.
eta I did some searching on Google Images and found this: "The Sobriety Circle & Triangle Symbol, is the symbol of Alcoholics Anonymous. The equalateral triangle represents the three part answer - unity, recovery and service to a three part disease - physical, mental and spriitual, while the circle represents wholeness or oneness." Which begs the question, why would you want everyone who sees your car to know your an alcoholic??? |
