RHOyal BLUE BAP

I thought the book was cute. There are BAPS in all the sororities. Just as being a member of AKA or DST does not make you a BAP. Being a BAP has nothing to do with your greek affiliation.

I mean the sorority comment momentarily ruffled me. but you have to realize why we (ALL OF US- SGR, ZPB, DST, AKA) pledged in the first place. we do not pledge for just an "association", we pledge to serve.

Born a BAP, MADE a Sigma Queen

You know what, even though the authors said that their little comments were made in fun...a REAL woman doesn't need to put someone or something else down in order to bring themselves up.

I thought the book was interesting, to say the least. I looked at it in the bookstore, and left it right there. It wasn't worth my $$$$.

I agree with that to a certain extent. There are women who believe that membership in our illustrious sisterhoods will bring them status and prestigue. The service is just another thing to add to their resumes. Its upsetting but I believe it happens.http://www.plauder-smilies.de/nono.gif I think these women are who the authors were referring to.

Hey blue-tiful ladies!

I went to the web site also and the authors did leave an apology (for what it's worth) It's from their guest book.

"Thank you for expressing your concerns about our book. For those of you who have read the book, you know that it was written in a very tongue-in-cheek manner and as a consequence we not only poke fun at ourselves but many others as well. Zeta Phi Beta and Sigma Gamma Rho are two groups that feel the barb of our satirical wit but so are women named Shaniqua, women who prefer to dress with a little more flava, and men who don't know about the little blue box. We say all of this to say that the book is really meant to be taken lightly, however, we apologize for any personal affront anyone may have suffered. "
