I know, at times it can get ridiculous, but I also see some really nitpicky edits being made. I do copy editing as part of my job, so I understand the urge, but then those same people who are doing the editing use incorrect grammar and spelling in their posts. Re-reading some of my posts, I tend to have run-on sentences, long paragraphs, end with prepositions, etc., so I generally don't criticize other's grammar (unless it's something really awful, like your example).
It bothers me in the same way as this scenario that I've also seen on the board: Someone criticises a poster for continually posting about a topic, but then the person who is doing the criticizing goes on to post 1000 posts about their job/academic program.
Maybe it's just me though; I realize these may be problems on all message boards, but this is really the only one I frequent.
