I knew it was time when my now-wife mentioned how long we'd been dating over and over and over and over and over (repeat ad nauseum).

Well, I'm engaged to my best friend ever :D I realized that if we broke up and I started dating someone else, that he would still be the person I would want to call every night to talk to about it. I realized that I would talk to him more than I would talk to anyone else I could ever imagine dating - which probably wouldn't be very nice or healthy for him, me, or anyone I dated. So that was that - we simply would have to never break up. So I told that that was never going to happen, so at some point, we were just going to have to get engaged, and then at some point after that, we were going to have to get married. He decided that sounded good to him, and so not too long later, we were "officially" engaged, and we're getting married next year! (We decided that we wanted a long engagement - to get a good feel for the idea of marriage and really work everything out with that kind of commitment in mind, and to wait for both of us to get out of school.)

Dawwww...... :D

Congrats girl! I wish you a long and happy future together. :)

This is going to sound retarded, but I knew after our first (and only - to this point) HUGE fight when we were able to work through it and move on, that he was going to be the one for the rest of my life. I wasn't ready to be married then, I wasn't even ready to be engaged. But I knew that he was "the one". We've been engaged just over 6 months now - and the wedding is next October (2007).

This sounds so stupid but.....

I realized I was ready to get married when my dad said (before we left for our weekends), "Be careful and love you BOTH" instead of his usual, "..love you Kayla" :D

Dusty realized he wanted to get married to me on our first date...but was ready to do the deed when he pinned me, heh.

Well, I had to wait for him to get out of the navy first (he gets out in August 2007), and I'm Graduating in May... Besides, summer months are too expensive anyway.

What day for you? Mine's the 6th.

I knew when everything I thought of in the future involved him.

We made all kinds of plans for 5, 10 years down the road. Plus, he is my very best friend.

We're getting married next weekend :D

Tentatively October 13th. He graduates in May, and we didn't want to pay for summer either.

This is cheesy but I knew he was the one & I was ready to be ready when I realized that apart, we'd each move on & likely have good lives but together, we'd make an amazing team. We support each other through everything including some of the drama & 1 really awful thing we went through together. If we could beat those odds, then we knew it was meant to be.

:end cheesy soap opera music:

i think when you get that warm tingly feeling in your stomach

I think it all comes down to when and if you have been dragged through enough crap with one person and then you realize you would not go through this with anyone else.
