That was also a while ago. ;)

From what I understand, it's really not all that uncommon for sophomores to get bids at UF, as compared to some other competitive rush schools.

Right, Kddani. It isn't that uncommon. That was my point.

Yes, it's very competitive, yes it's a long week. But if you're a soph or even a junior, it's not necessarily impossible to find your home.

UF has a lot of transfer students, which is why many GLOs may be more open to "older" students.

I can tell you of many MANY sophomores I personally know who went through UF rush a second time. Some pledged their first choice, others didn't & still ended up happy. I also know of girls who did spring rush, joined a house & LOVED it.

All this spanning 20 years (my own years @ UF, and then those of my former students, who I love to "coach").

The thing is, when you are rushing as anything-but-a-freshman at UF, you really should be well-put together, meaning 1) have a good GPA (close to a 3.0 or higher) 2) extra-curricular activities or a cultivated talent (ie, a few years of piano or voice lessons) and 3) be able to click with the girls who rush you.

Of course, even if you do all this, you can still be dropped by a house.

I think you should DEFINITELY rush again. adpiucf gave some good advice, and then, go through the UF Rush threads that are here on GC.

Good luck!
