An announcement was made in the ADPi forum that Kappa Alpha Theta had been chosen to colonize at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. :)

That would be Hamden, CT. Lovely place. About sixteen NPC groups submitted materials for consideration there.

Thanks Denise - I had a major brain freeze. I remember when we heard about the presentations I was so excited because I KNEW where Hamden was!

Chalk it up to school in the summer - bad idea! :p

I hear that we're also colonizing at Pace University.

Guess "Pace" will have a double-meaning there. Yay!

That's great! Our sorority (Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority) just crossed a chapter there in March.

OPhiA inducted our Alpha Epsilon Chapter at Southeastern Louisiana University last weekend! (Our 20th active chapter! :D )

Update

DU will recolonize at Syracuse in the fall of 2007. Chapter was originally formed in 1873. Famous alumni include Stephen Crane, who wrote The Red Badge of Courage, and Jim Boheim the present Syracuse basketball coach.

Tri Sigma has been invited to colonize at UWisconsin-Parkside. As far as I know, they'll be the only NPC (the campus website only lists a few NPHCs and 2 Latina sororities).

Any news about Clayton State University in Georgia? I know it was open for NPC expansion this fall. I was just wondering if any groups presented and/or decided to colonize.

I haven't heard but maybe Denise_DPhiE has.

I have no update on Clayton State. If I see anything, I will let you know.

Interesting..with the exception of Sigma Pi, all the GLOs at Clayton are members of the NPHC. Were they looking to add one NPC or more?

Xidelt 06-20-2006 04:27 PM

I'm not sure which thread I saw it in, but last night I was reading a thread about which campuses were open for expansion this past academic year. Clayton State was listed as open "ground up." I was just interested in their progress because I live/work so close to the campus and know several alumnae of Clayton State. I also checked the Greek Life section of the school website and couldn't find any updates (but sometimes the Greek Life websites are updated, so I wasn't sure!)
