Hope you all don't mind me posting. Not sure if you were joking but I have heard of Arden B. I just bought two shirts from there a few weeks ago. That was my first time shopping there. They can be pricey but I like their style. I consider their clothes sexy buy classy. (I'm the type that likes to show curves over skin). I used to like Express but I've moved on to Limited. I think their clothes are a little more tame than Express. But I guess that's 'cause I'm getting older http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif!

I absolutely despise shopping sometimes-I can never find anything I want in my size that fits well-and then since I am a cheap (for now) person, that limits what I will buy. Every now and then I luck upon something nice in a discount store, but most of the time no go. I could find stuff in places like Ashley Stewart and Lane Bryant, but I just have a problem with paying like $25 and up for ONE piece of clothing.
As far as it goes with price differences based on sizes, if they charged more just because my clothing used more material, I'd have all of my clothing made by a seamstress-cause I just KNOW companies would try to jack me.

**Soror GiggyZ, you really should subscribe to the Chadwick's of Boston catalog-they seem have gorgeous affordable royal blue outfits often!

Yes, that is what I was referring too. The fashion folks and media types are so turned off with skeletons (very, very thin women) that they are now proclaiming Catherine Zeta-Jones plus size. I am for real. The other week a modeling agency was conducting a "plus size" model search in Fort Myers, Fla., and they were looking for women size 10 and over. I am sorry but a woman who wears a 10 is not going to shop at Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart or the "Woman's World" section of your local department store. I find this offensive to true plus size divas. No woman who wears a size 12 or 14 (which are the norm for all American women) or a 14, 16, 18 (which are the norm for African American woman) should be modeling plus size fashions. To me this is just as bad has having only women who wear a size 0 to strut down the catwalk. If designers and clothing catalog coordinators wanted to be bold, they would put a size 26 woman in a sharp outfit, pose her in a attractive pose, snap the photo and include it in the catalog. Imagine what that would do for the thousands of woman size 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, etc. to see someone with the same types of curves represented. Afterall, we all wear clothes and lawd knows women, especially sistahs, like to look good in their clothes.

Now moving on to another issue under the same theme. I find nothing more offensive to the eyes and to good taste than to see women wearing clothing that they should not. That goes for any size woman. So in this season of wearing less, I know the following statement will get a round of applause from the Finer Women of Zeta---PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE remember dressing sexy does not mean trashy. And sistahs most of us can't wear spandex, especially if you got dimples, bumps and bulges all over the place--leave it alone. ;-)

No, I was just shopping and my Zeta radar went directly to the Royal Blue. Anytime I go shopping I will ALWAYS check out the items in Royal Blue, even if I don't need another Royal Blue blouse, or skirt, or suit.

Something about that color just MOVES me. I bet my SGRho sisterfriends feel the same way.

I hear all of you but I get upset because I am inbetween sizes used to be 16 but got down to a fourteen. Started going back to the gym because I am going to Cancun next week and can almost fit my big butt into a 12 but not quite and then when I try on the 14 it doesn't fir right.

Another thing is that we all have a best friend that we can talk to and if you do then I don't understand why you would let your best friend go outside in an outfit that does not flatter her. Whether she is big or small because I have seen many a women/ladies/girls where spandex. This goes for the big ones as well as the small ones or the in-between ones like me.

Please Ladies, do your friend a favor and do not let her walk down the street looking crazy. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif :0

Right??? This is what I don't understand. The models for Lane Bryant CANNOT be more than a size 9 - I mean, they are basically your paper-thin models. But I also know Lane Bryant's smallest size is a 14... so I'm wondering if they think people won't notice their models are at least 4 sizes smaller than the smallest size they carry?? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif
