I know one more national fraternity (AEPi?) started at CCNY. We should be considered a triad....the CCNY triad

NPHC at CUNY

is CUNY Hunter College part of Alpha Kappa Alpha's Lambda New York City Chapter's Charter? What schools does the New York City Chapter include?

NPHC in NYC

I'll introduce myself later, but I wanted to chime in on this, seeing as how I'm from NYC and all, and can provide some insight.

as far as the NPHC goes:

Alpha Phi Alpha:

ETA Chapter - All Senior CUNY in the Bronx & Manhattan as well as NYU, Columbia University, Mercy College, etc.
Delta Chi - All Senior CUNY in Brooklyn and Staten Island as well as Poly Tech, Pratt, etc.
Theta Epsilon - All Senior CUNY in Queens, as well as St. John's University.

Alpha Kappa Alpha
:
Lambda Chapter - I know for certain they cover CUNY Hunter
Xi Xi Chapter - Chartered @ CUNY Lehman, still there.
Alpha Mu - Brooklyn, not sure which schools they cover/don't cover

Kappa Alpha Psi:
Omicron
- I know they have membership at CUNY Lehman, not sure of other CUNY schools

Omega Psi Phi
: Not sure

Delta Sigma Theta
:
Rho Chapter - Columbia University
Epsilon Tau - NYU, and I think most/all Senior CUNY in Manhattan & the Bronx.

Phi Beta Sigma:
Theta Gamma -
Citywide, includes CUNY Lehman
Xi Alpha - CUNY Baruch
I know there are more chapters at CUNY schools, can't remember them off-hand.

Zeta Phi Beta
Epsilon Chapter - CUNY Hunter, CUNY John Jay, CUNY Baruch, CUNY Lehman among other schools. They have a chapter in Brooklyn as well.

Sigma Gamma Rho:
Alpha Pi - Metropolitan Chapter - Covers CUNY, not sure which ones.

Iota Phi Theta
I know they have presence @ CUNY City College.

This is by no means a definitive list. I am an Alpha from ETA Chapter, so everyone else I just plugged in from what I know. As someone noted before me... it is a different type of beast as far as Greek Life as a whole, but we are all about and still goin' hard.

Also... there are many NALFO (Latino) affiliated organizations out here that are on CUNY campuses, such as Lambda Upsilon Lambda, Lambda Pi Chi, Omega Phi Beta, Lambda Theta Alpha, Sigma Lambda Upsilon, Sigma Lambda Chi, Gamma Ce Upsilon, and more...

PBS - CCNY:Alpha Delta, Brooklyn College: Beta Lambda
ZPhiB - Brooklyn College:Omicron Beta, Queens College/SJU & other Queens Schools:Omicron Alpha

I think the Que's chapter is Epsilon...

It actually became a local called Delta Alpha which survived until somewhere around the mid-seventies TEP actually had a house, but recently lost it

I just came across this thread during a search of my frat, Delta Alpha, at CCNY. What you said is true, but I can state unequivocably it was an incredible experience, both social and academic. The hose was a four story brownstone (five stories, counting the sub-basement) in Manhattan on 467 West 143rd Street, between Convent Ave & Amsterdam Avenues. The house was a gift from an alumni, James K. Hackett, a famous Shakespearean and silent film actor in the late 19th/early 20th century, and several buildings at CCNY are named after brothers of Delta Alpha.
