LOL! A couple of Sorors have almost beat me to the punch, but at 5 feet even, I cannot imagine dating someone shorter... I am very attracted to big/tall men. I have never dated anyone under 5' 11". Let me clarify "big". I don't mean *******, (nevah mind what I thought about typing) let's just say with no clue of or interest in physical fitness and upkeep, but definitely built(not necessarily very muscular or cut)/chunky/and plenty to hold onto. I am not drawn to short men (under 5' 6")...no offense brothas. I am quite happy with the 5' 11" blessing I have. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
Yes, Mandingo, you can get some love around here. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif ------------------ Sweet Deliverance's PHI-losophy: "What you do or do not do today determines what you can or cannot do tomorrow." Hee hee hee...5'11" is a respectable height...although I am a good 5'10" without shoes on. BTW, I have dated shorter men. At the time it was all good. They treated me like a QUEEN! However, the 6footer pluses have been in abundance lately.

I don't think I would date a man shorter than me, but then I don't want a man towering over me either. I'm 5'7 and the shortest guy I dated was 5'10 and when I had heels on we were close to the same height. I think the perfect height for me is 6'1.
It is unfortunate because it seems as though that all the men I meet here are short. |
Although it's not all about looks, I know myself well enough that I know if my man was shorter than me, it would bother me, and be an on-going concern of mine--so in knowing that, I wouldn't even put myself in that position in the first place--I wouldn't date a guy that's shorter than me...and since I'm really not tall myself, if you are shorter than me, you're pretty SHORT, especially for a man...then even if you got past that, you have to think about if you should settle down w/ him, you're children will be short too!! But don't get me wrong, too tall isn't great either...I like them in the Average/tall category http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

Hello Sorors
I must reply to this topic I am short my self i am 5"31/2 and my husband is 5"3 so i have a 1/2 inch on him but i think dating short men is excellent ... ------------------ The Epitome Of FinerWomen Hood ZPB There's Nothing Better. |
I dated a guy who was cute as a button, but only 5'6.5"...I'm only 5'4.5", but because he was also slender, I felt like I was molesting a child. As I get older, things like height aren't as important, but I will say that I do like them at least 5'9" and taller if possible. I think women are attracted to taller men because height conveys strength and power (ladies, don't you just feel...more protected and feminine with a taller man? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif). However, if a man is intelligent and confident in his own skin, then height seems to become less important (if the 5'6" one had acted right, I'd still be dating him today, for example http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif...)

Hey sorors and sisterfriends, it's been awhile since I have posted on this site. My password wasn't working for quite awhile. Anyways to answer the question, no I would not date a man who is shorter than me, nor would i date one that was the same height as myself for that matter. LOL. I have always had a thing for tall men, I guess most short women do! Personally, I just think that men look better when they have height and are well built. A tall man looks more powerful to me and I love powerful men!
