Back in the days of the dinosaurs, when GEN Alum was just an LT, I started working @ a bank in Louisville (or as the locals say, Loo-Uh-Vuhll). My coworkers' first words to me were " so who do you like, UK or U of L?" I had vague idea what they were talking about but it seemed dangerous to express a preferance so I said the Celtics. Since I knew nothing about college bball, I figured I better go w/ the (@ the time) World Champions of the NBA.

Daisy, if that happens, you won't need to drive because you'll easily hear me down there! :D

My bracket sincerely thanks the fine folks at GW and Gonzaga for pulling out wins.

My Hoosiers won a nailbiter! Woot! :)

I've only missed 3 games so far. This means, of course, that my picks for tomorrow are going to be way off!

that Texas A&M game really helped me out in one of my pools that I entered. They use some weird scoring method and I jumped from last place at about 5:30 to 3rd now only 3 points behind the leader.

and two of our pledges are the ones that are in front of me.

Alabama and Texas A&M helped my points a lot. I'm 14 for 17 at this point, I think (left my bracket at work), but ours are weighted for seed and level. Seed x level=points.

Nevada, Oklahoma and Seton Hall let me down.

I think my bracket is getting tossed when I get into work this morning. Although I'm glad Gonzaga and Indiana pulled it out.

KSigkid 03-17-2006 09:45 AM

My bracket is just not doing well right now. Some of my bigger teams won (the ones that I thought would go further in the Tourney), but the OK loss hurts a bit.

12-4 to start my bracket. I only had three of the losses go to the next round and then lose, so hopefully those will bounce okay. Nevada knocks out two rounds for that one though. The 5-12 seeded games kill me every year. I always seem to pick the wrong ones.

Heh, our boys basketball is completely unreliable this year. However, I think our girls will go pretty far.

And A&M was my saving grace, otherwise I would already be out of the office pool.

13-3, not too bad. Lucked out with the Wisc Milwaukee pick but never would have thought that the Grizz, A&M, and Alabama would have won.

I quit March Madness. That's it. I'm done. I'm going to go hide in the corner, cry, and be sick. The end is near and life is no longer worth living.

mu_agd 03-17-2006 03:44 PM

Did Iowa really just lose?

valkyrie 03-17-2006 03:53 PM

They sure did! That's just great, considering I had them going to the ELITE EIGHT, YES I DID!

epchick 03-17-2006 04:04 PM

WOOHOOO!!! I was scared there for a minute, but NW State and Bucknell were able to pull out wins!!

I need to remember my strategy.

I still didn't expect Texas A&M to win over Syracruse....and have NO IDEA why I picked Wisconsin over Arizona, I must have been out of it when i did that!
