does anyone know if John McCain's daughter is a Theta or greek? I've tried to find this out on my own but havent been successful.

I don't think that she's a Theta, I tried to look her up on Sister Search and couldn't find her.

As far as I know the McCain's daughter is not greek. I will try to find this out though. Does anyone know if John McCain is greek?

As for the "Go Fly a Kite" Song, though it might not be related I always love listening to it! It gives me a slight smile just knowing it might be connected. Does anyone know anything more about that pansy on Budweisr thing? I don't drink beer, so I wouldn't know....

McCain went to The Naval Academy (Annapolis). If he is Greek, it would be a service (academic) fraternity. I checked the schools website and I couldn't find anything for "social" greek life.

Social Greek Life is not allowed at U.S.N.A:)

I think it would be interesting if a fraternity approached McCain to join!

If McCain did get elected, wouldn't he be the first president in a while to not be a member of a fraternity?

Honestly though this might happen anyway as I have no idea if Obama is greek, and I am pretty sure Hillary is not as Wesley is an all girls school.

Ok, Maybe I just don't know all my GLOs? I have never heard of Beta Sigma Phi? Is it a service group?

Beta Sigma Phi

There are several GCers who are members and they have a forum on GC, as well.

a few more

A few more famous Thetas (forgive me if I've posted these elsewhere):

-Melinda French Gates: it's amazing to think of the real impact this woman and her husband are going to have on the world through the Gates Foundation.

-Amy Holmes: if you watch any political/election coverage, you've probably seen her. She's also been on Bill Maher's HBO show. (We don't share the same politics, but we do share the same chapter!)

I just recently learned that Kate Snow (GMA Weekend) is a Theta.

Kate has long been one of my favorite newswomen (classy, intelligent, good vocal quality, good delivery, no jerky movements, etc) so what a wonderful surprise.

She is from the Cornell chapter.

A good source of info. for famous Theta's is the "On this day" feature on the HQ website. If you click on it it will give you a list of Theta related events that happened on each day. A lot of times it gives the birth dates or initiation dates of famous Thetas that arent always listed in the "famous thetas" section.

I like Kerri Strug (remember watching her on TV from 1992 through 1996) and Jenna von Oy from Blossom. I wonder if she is really that bubbly in real life :)

I love Kate Snow!!!! When she found out she was a Theta I was even more excited! It is a family tradition in my house that the family sits and watches the news together every night, at least me and my dad do! And since I just graduated I am back with the family for a while!

Anyways, I constantly yell out "She's a Theta!" Whenever I see one on TV! lol!

Oh and I love Kerri Strug!

Kate Snow has been on the National News a lot lately because of her coverage of the Clinton campaign!

Ok I can't believe no one has said Amy Grant and Dick Chaney's wife Lynn. My sister was in college when Amy Grant became popular and she even came to their chapter when she sang at Baylor.
