My sympathies to the ladies of the Gamma Lambda chapter. I am sure this is hard for them.

National Council doesn't make this decision lightly, or quickly. Does anyone have a mailing address for the chapter? PM it to me if you do.

To be quite honest, from what they told our chapter, they decision was made quickly. From the way we received the news, it seemed that they just up and voted, especially from what we had been told less than 3 weeks before.

The address for our chapter is as follows.

1531 W. Cumberland Ave.
Suite 205
Knoxville, TN 37916

Thanks for all the support. We are enjoying are last few months as active sisters as well as we can, and trying to understand.

The girls who I feel sorry for the most were the girls who initiated in the fall. They didn't get a chance to have years as active sisters, and I hope they stay involved as alumnae!

Well, I can assure you that this instance is NOT one of those where the decision was made lightly after one semester not making numbers. This is a difficult situation that no one has or is taking lightly. Though I understand your statment, please realize there are hurt women on this forum, ok? Sorry to be rude, but really.
Honey, I was talking directly to 33girl, and it had nothing to do with the chapter of AXiD that closed, it was a personal comment to 33girl.

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW THESE WOMEN FEEL. My chapter was closed when I was an undergrad. My chpater was given an ultimatum to triple or close. It wasn't a one semester thing - they had been warned before - but being a new initiate, it seemed to me like it happened in one semester. It's never easy for a chapter to close, and I know that no ones GLO's Nationals do not take it lightly.
