It amazes me that everytime someone brings up or proves that this guy (Bush) is a screwup theres always somebody who says that the person is a Bush hater.....image if this line of thinking would apply to athletics.....example Temple's football team isn't bad, you guys just hate Temple.

I completely agree on how bad the tapes make Bush look, eventhough I am a supporter. However, I was fully aware that the hurricane was a reality even before it hit, and that it would probobly be pretty damn horrible, which it was. All it took was watching the weather channel and listening to the news and the radio. I didn't need President Bush to tell me that the liklihood of a natural disaster was very certain and that I should avoid going to NO at all costs around the time of the storm.

If he had lied and no one got hurt then it wouldn't be an issue. Those tapes show that he thought it was more important for him to get to his vacation time than save lives of those who didn't have the financial means to leave.

Can he get impeached over this?

Latest news on this is that after reviewing the tapes, and I am talking about the ones of Max Mayfield of the Hurricane Center, is that he told Bush he was concerned about the levees breaching, which means flooding over, not breaking.
I'm with Rudey.

Exhausted and realizing that seeking the truth is futility.

And I don't care to argue. Minds are made up. I wouldn't attempt to confuse 'em with the facts.

I don't understand how anyone, whether it's Brown or Bush or whomever, can say that no one could have predicted the breach of the levees when all the news channels talked about for two days before the hurricane hit was that if the hurricane was big enough, it could cause enough flooding to break the levees.

Has everyone forgotten this? Am I just smoking crack? Or am I misunderstanding what they're saying when they say they couldn't anticipate the levee breach?

Everyone should have known? Does that include Democrats and the people that decided to stay in New Orleans?
