I totally think that was blown out of proportion. Her roommates weren't being mean at all by telling her to take a shower.

That's why I couldn't understand why Mo had to blow up at them.

I mean, this is coming from a girl who freaking cried because she fell out of a CHAIR.

This just made me laugh out loud!!!!!

I only saw about 20 minutes of it, but it started with her falling and ended with her still not showering.

I've seen it rerun twice already this weekend, if anyone missed it I'm sure it will be on 2938742 times.

Ok, I have a legitimate question here-on the show, all you see the kids doing is working out all day long. Which is great and all, but obviously you can't keep that up in the real world. I was wondering if they also offer like, nutrition classes, or info on food choices-stuff the kids will take with them when they leave camp?

Or is that why they gain all the weight back?

But I stepped away from the TV when Marisa/Mo (the Junior Counselor) left camp early. Why did she leave?

she was a team manager for her football team, so she *most likely* had to go back to school when the football team started practicing (most likely around Late July-Early August). I remember I went to a Young Life camp and the DAY I got back (I got back at 6:00am) I was called to go to the football team practice...since I was also a football manager. But I didnt go..lol.

Did I miss this? I never saw them working out. However, I did not watch the whole show.

I saw a few parts where the kids were doing aerobics and playing sports. Most of the time they were out on the pool or out on the lake. I think their days were divided into periods, just like school, because I remember Joe/John yelling "FIRST PERIOD!!! GET UP!".

They had to have been doing something active because most of them lost a few pounds during their weekly weigh-ins.

I LOVED this show. Dianne had more than a few "issues" and her mother seemed to be a big driving force behind them. What was the name of that other girl who sucked so bad? She was the counselor that got kicked out and had a horrrrible attitude.

On a side note, I was shocked that they didn't lose more weight. For the size that most of them were, 3-5 lbs a week is not much at all.

Bad attitude girl's name is Braelyn.

Does anyone know how much their parents pay to send them to that place?

pinkiebell1001 02-20-2006 10:07 PM

it's like 8000$-I think it's probably about the average amount you pay for normal summer long sleep-away camps right??? I'm sure they probably have "sessions" as well-did anyone besides me think that some of the people at fat camp...well, really had no need to be there? like in the background I kept seeing alot of skinny/average people, so im like..."wtf is your parent doing paying 8k to send you to a place you don't NEED to go to!"

Anyways, Loved Matt and Mo! Petey annoyed the crap outta me-reminded me of this annoying kid I went to H.S. with, lol.

But Diane?! What can I say...
Did anyone else crack up when Petey was like "there's this weird girl that keep saying hi to me!" and then Diane walks by and says hi!

You've got to be kidding me.

You honestly think that they'd be losing more than 3-5 lbs a week? Does 10 lbs seem more ideal?

While 3-5 lbs a week may not seem like a lot, it's considered healthy. Losing mass amounts of weight in a short period of time can totally screw over your body over.

Even with shows like Celebrity Fit Club, they usually set target loss at 4-6 lbs.

At the end those 3-5 lbs add up, and we saw that with Petey. You could totally tell that he looked better after losing 27 lbs.
