Yeah, I would say "yellow box". Shucks, the seller knew exactly what I was talking about. LMAO
I was a Brownie in Kindegarten. My sister was a GS and was able to go to camp. I took our Soror's daughter to camp wallahoochiappala this past summer. I was , no, not really at the FEW numbers of US that were there. |

I was a GS for a hot minute. Me and my best friend were "asked to leave" because we talked to much (long story)
However, I redeemed myself by working as a GS counselor my junior year of college. |

THIN MINTS!!!!
Some little girls were selling some boxes at the nail shop I got so excited that the guy had to stop painting my nails. They are so good and you only get them once a year. I had to give some to my class, otherwise I would eat the whole box. :D :D ;) :D :D |
Without a Doubt
It's gotta be the Thin Mints. Second favorite would be Samoas. Still haven's seen the Girls Scouts. Where have you been hiding Girl Scouts

My Fave...
I'm chanting...
THIN MINTS, THIN MINTS, THIN MINTS! I don't even like all the others, that's pretty sad :p I was a GS for a minute...I started at Junior and got up to Cadette/Senior before I stopped. I was about to go to high school, I thought I was getting too old for that. Plus my parents were tired of having to sell cookies for me! :p I also got a chance to see Juliette Low's birthplace in Savannah. I know this is away from the subject, but how do you all get your letters in different colors, sizes, and fonts like that at the bottom of your messages? I've been trying to figure it out. I must be slow! :D Gamma Sigma Sigma Turns Golden...50 Years of Service, Friendship & Equality: 1952-2002 |
I was a girl scout. I was proud to wear my Gorgeous Green uniform...LOL!!!
This thread has a sista cravin' for some gs cookies. I gave up sweets for lent. I like the Peanut Butter Patties. They have to be chilled straight out the 'frig...ummmmmmmm:) |
My favorites are Do-Si-Dos, Samoas and Thin Mints.
|
Former girl scout here....Brownie and Junior. I can still sing all those campfire songs from heart. Anybody remember "The Princess Pat" and "There was a boy and a girl in a little canoe?" I still sing those every now and then.
Now for cookies (Yeah...I want to know where the Girl Scouts are hiding, too)...I always order Samoas. I used to sell Chocolate Chunks back in the late 80s for $1.75 a box (EONS ago) and they were my favorite as well. Nowadays, I dig some Samoas and order at least 5 boxes a year. |

GS cookie ice cream!? I MUST try the Samoas Cookie! I guess it's obvious which kind are my favorite! ;) I also like the shortbread as well. Ok, so I have a question for all the former GSs out there...do different areas have different GS cookies? Oh and why did they change the names of some of the cookies? Oops, that's 2 questions :D sowwy! |
Samoas!
