^^^^ Good points. He is a good lyricist.

I thought the show was really great. I loved the beginning and when Stevie Wonder was on stage, and the duet with Mary was great too! My friend and I both said "its over already?" cause we were ready to keep jamming!

Ladygreek, did Jamie make you cry when he was singing about his grandma?

I was touched when he sang about his child, but when he did the one to his grandmother I lost it.

I cried....I especially love the song about still loving his pregnant g/f or wife. I also love "My Angel".

I bawled, too. The songs for his daughter and grandmother did me in. LOL!

Part of my tears were of just of sheer joy, too. I'm very proud of Jamie, and I'm so glad that others are finanally seeing his talent. He has worked so hard for many years, and he is finally getting his due.

I watched the show, I loved the Opening Montage and "Unpredictable". Also, Prophet Stevie Wonder singing "That Girl" won me over. Also, I didn't know he had the "Love Changes" song on his album (Did Renee' and Angela sing the original?) . I might have to get it.

Great Music from a very gifted brother. I just cringe at Snoop and the Game on his record. I think people like me (Late twenties, who have a love for old school hip-hop and real lyricism and soul in R&B) need more artists to sing and forget about appealing to the younger, untrained ears that drive the marketing of today's R&B.
Blackwatch!!!!!!

Right.
No, that was Me'Lisa Morgan and Kashif.

I was surprised that Stevie sang "That Girl". That was my jam of many SW jams.

His daughter has really grown up.

Who was the surprise guest? Common?

I LdMAO when Jamie said, players, hustlers, pimps take a break during the duet. LOL

I see I wasn't the only person who got all sentimental! lol That song about his grandmother is so beautiful.

I'm really glad he's doing well for himself.

And before Kashif (where is he now?!?) and Me'Lisa Morgan remade it, it was originally done by the group Mother's Finest. :)

I need Common to come back home to the midwest so we can get our love thang on and poppin'. :o :D

Jamie is extremely talented and it's not every day you come across a real comedian/real actor/real singer. Congratulations to him!:)

The show was subpar.

If you like Funk...

Sure did!

What happened to them?

MsDJ80 01-26-2006 07:45 PM

So was that really his pregnant girlfriend???

I did enjoy the song...about time someone said something about all the hard work mothers do before the lil one gets here :D

chrini 01-26-2006 09:53 PM

The lady who played the grandmother is Larry's mama from a Good Times episode. I know we age gracefully.....Is it just me or had this lady not aged much?

Nah. I think it was a dancer who was wearing one of those pregnant body suits.

Thanks to the VCR, I was able to see it tonight (since Chris was a rerun). It was pretty good. I really enjoyed the part when he sang about his grandma. Co-sign with AKA2D'91 on his daughter. She really hit a growth spurt!
