As the commentators comment and others shape and mold the controversy surrounding her statement, I have been hearing that apparently Clinton made similar comments at another function some other time. Also, Newt Gingrich made comments referencing plantations and slave rebellions. Its not who said it that bothers me, it's more what is being said in all these instances. Why use THAT analogy? It just doesn't fit. As I have always stated in threads, BOTH parties are completely oblivious to the true nature of the problems in our community. I think the overall Democratic platform, however, at least comes close to addressing or acknowledging concerns that we hold near and dear. I think she AND Gingrich were wrong.

Who do Newt and Hillary think are the slaves and who do they think are the slave owners?
If anything, those in the upper socioeconomic status, including these politicans, are the slave owners because they yield the power in this oligarchy. That would include Newt and Hillary so they need to shut it up. |
