I thought of that...then I realized that the thread there is a "chit-chat" what have you learned and this thread is a "news/political" what have you learned...

I've learned that people can be pretty big hypocrites when it comes to civil liberties and voting on the "good" of people's lives.

I've learned that with each new name that Craig comes up with, a new follower of his will be born. And they will defend him to the end. (sorry I feel that that is news-worthy) :)

I've learned that racial discussions cannot happen in mature terms because some idiot (white or wanabe black) will join in and ruin it.

1) I've learned that because I don't go to church or believe in god I have no morals or values, and that I have no clue how to be a good and decent human being.

2) I've learned because I was married by a Justice of the Peace my marriage isn't a "real" marriage.

Kind of - just echoing the sarcasm of the original poster.

I've learned that threads like these usually don't last too long. On a more positive note, I've also learned that there are people on all sides of the political spectrum who are capable of mature debate. For every person who just goes extreme for no reason, there are posters like Munchkin03, GeekyPenguin and others who I may not agree with, but who I have to respect for being thoughtful on topics.
