Jesus be a fence around these fashion violations.
I'm checking Omarosa's Adam's apple. That's a man! Kimora confirmed why I have NEVER bought anything from BabyPhat. Holly Robison-Peete NEEDS to give me those shoes! They are CUTE! T.I. is looking like the Ladies Man from Saturday Night Live (ummm, yesss...I think I'll have another drink of this here Courvoisier, yesss ). Keshia Cole looks...well, ummm...she looks...well, her knuckles look nice. :D |
I saw this on the TV Guide Channel and didn't bother clicking over...I was watching back-to-back episodes of "Sex and the City" and crackin' up :D

So, when Keyshia won her award, she said, " I may not have had 3 singles, but I have worked hard, etc. etc. " I just assumed their was some beef. |

Is it me or has Omerosa squeezed the life out of her 15 minutes of fame?
Mariah looks great with weight. To me Kiesha Cole is picking up where lil Mo left off. Komora Lee Simmons appears to be such a snob. Russell better not ever go broke or she is defiantly out. I am so not feeling the game. Now he has a tattoo tear drop, come on he was dumped on a dating show. I guess studio gangsters are alive and doing well. I was really disappointed with the headlines I saw which said: “Mariah wins at non violent Vibe Awards" Over all the show was boring. |

What about Mary J. Blige. What a Shame.
I only watched liked 5 mins of the Vibe Awards...just not my cup of tea. However, I found it hilarious that Mary J, in the midst of accepting some big achievement award said this :
(lmao) "Last but not least, I gotta thank Quincy Jones and this whole VIBE thing. Absolutely. For so many years, VIBE has given me great, great, great covers, but I must say, I'm very, very disappointed at the cover this time, so Mimi, me and you really need to talk, as women. No disrespect, but I really hated the way you guys shaved off my head, pushed my forehead way back behind my ears. I'm just insulted, so that's no respect on the cover, but I thank you, and I appreciate this award." Here is the cover pic and supposedly Vibe's response (the show was pretaped): http://www.vibe.com/news/cover_stori...coverstory.jpg Here's the VIBE response. Dearest Mary, Dissing VIBE while accepting our VLegend Award was extremely disappointing. I'm sorry you find your most recent cover insulting. It was definitely not our intention. If you look at the big picture, we've been supportive of your career beginning with the first issue of VIBE in the fall of '92. You've graced our cover seven times, more than any other artist. Besides your desire to make a private conversation public, your accusations are untrue. How your hair looks on that cover is between you and your hairstylist. I swear, your hairline is no different than the Polaroids you saw at the shoot or the snapshots we printed in my What's Good column. In any case, you felt compelled to speak your peace, and at the end of the day, isn't this truly why we all love Mary in the first place? One of the hardest things about working at VIBE is not to take things like this personally. For myself and the rest of the edit staff, working here is more than just a job. We take our roles as journalists very seriously, but we're die-hard fans as well. I'd be lying not to admit how hurt we were by the negativity you brought to our celebration, especially since you were being honored. After last year's incident, we went above and beyond to make this year's ceremony drama-free. We did not want to let '04's unfortunate events deter us from our mission to celebrate the best of the best in urban music. It's sad you did not share in this vision with us. Peace, Mimi Valdés Editor-in-Chief |
I didn't watch the show, but I've heard almost everyone said it was boring. It had to be...just like this year's Super Bowl Halftime Show. They had to make sure that nothing happened.
On Mary and the cover...Mary looks mighty skinny and showing too much of her fore head. But I don't know if I would have said it in public. And Lil' Keisah (yeah I said it and if you would have saw her in concert, you would know why) was looking tore up.:o |
Why ain't none of you all tell me that Luda wore a confederate flag outfit?
I am reading this blog and getting enlightened. http://www.vibe.com/galleries/2005/11/15/dsc_1506.jpg   WTH was he thinking? |
