I wonder why it's not coming to Syracuse??? That's not right! Dang it's a good movie to, maybe it will come up that way later.

Yes, I can't wait to see this movie. Richard T Jones is my man

Just came from seeing the movie. It was ok, kind of predictable. Richard T. Jones was looking good though.:D I'll save future comments until more people have seen it.

It's here in Saginaw, but my money to go and see it won't be here until Friday. :o However, I will go and see it when I go out of town. :)

I don't have UPN and the trailers haven't been on any other channels I've seen.

It's playing here though, so I might check it out.

Thoughts (no spoilers)

I enjoyed G. Now don't get me wrong, Christopher Scott Cherot is no auteur, but it's a pretty good look at what happens when hip-hop meets socialite society.

Chenoa Maxwell seems to be a limited actress, but I think Blair and Richard T. Jones handled their roles pretty well. Andre Royo's voice grates -- it's lispish; we were wondering if he'd also had hearing problems. Jillian Lindsey (Daisy Duke) brought the comedy -- her character seemed to be a play on Kimberly Denise Jones, bka Lil' Kim. :p

Plus, the visuals are stunning. Being a West Coast person, I've never been to the Hamptons, and am curious as to their appeal of sorts.

I've also got to give a fashion take. Blair was rocking the Ralph Lauren lines very well (Andrew, Ralph Lifschitz' son, was the producer of this film).

Go see it. I feel bad for my S.D. friends and sorors, because the closest place it's playing to is Irvine.

ETA: I just learned it's playing in San Diego. The Web site doesn't indicate this.

Since she was tall and light skinned, she reminded more of Charli Baltmore. ST, you probably have her govt. name.:p :)

It actually is here in Syracuse, but it's not listed on the website. I found out when I went to see Saw 2. :)

this place seems a bit more positive about the movie. i was reading reviews elsewhere (Soror Steeltrap, i'm sure you saw them) and folks DOGGED this movie. i'm hoping it's not bad. i loved The Great Gatsby book and movie and i don't want anyone to mess up the story.
as for the Hamptons, it's a lovely and very pricey area. the best part: the shopping:D seriously, if i had the money, i would love to have a home out there. it's that nice but i'm biased since i was born on the Island...

She is quite limited. From her lack of facial expressions down to the wooden reading of her lines.
My theory is that Chris Cherot gets Chenoa at a discount. She also "starred" in his first movie, "Hav Plenty."
