Which, technically, is a remake of Thunderball. The story of the legal wrangling over Thunderball can fill a book and would bore anyone but a rabid James Bond fan.
My takes on the Bonds:
Sir Sean Connery - The original, the best. There is no substitute.
George Lazenby - Diamond in the rough, had potential if he didn't take bad advice and piss off Cubby and Harry.
Sir Roger Moore - Not bad in his first outing ( Live and Let Die), went downhill rapidly until he hit rock bottom in the slapstick comedy that (IMNSHO) Moonraker was. Slight improvement noted until his last film ( A View to a Kill).
Timothy Dalton - Deadly serious approach to 007, but people weren't quite ready after years of Sir Roger.
Pierce Brosnan - A mix to please both the Connery and Moore camps, but the movies relied on way too much CGI special effects to carry the movie.
