Your so off man,

If you know anything about colleges in cali, then you would know that chico is def known as one of the best party schools. Sac on the other hand, I Know nothing about. As far as fraternities/rushing, let me reitereate a point NEVER USE THE WORD "FRAT". Seriously, don't. Second, if you're sole purpose for rushing is to party, your done for. I am a junior at UCSB (#4 party school in the nation), and after going through countless seasons of rush, trust when i say, actives are EXPERTS at spotting social/party hungry newbies. Moreover, a strong solid chapter usually looks for well rounded kids that are going to add to the house, in more ways than pounding a beer.

As to to the whole "dont you guys party?" comment, well dude . . .the reason most of us dont seem all gun-ho party animals online, is simple. ITS BECASUE WE LIVE IT. Do you have any idea how many parties/TG's/socials/formals/date parties/ we've gone too since pleadging? ??? Excuse us if we don't all sounds as excited about partying, its just that over time most of us have realized the true purpose and meaning of going greek. and trust, it has very little to do with partying.

FYI, You should never consider joining any one house in particular, soley based on what you heard from someone. The best way to go about it is to go out to rush and visit as many chaptesr as possible. Not untill you've met with the actives and talked to them can you even being to consider.

GOOD LUCK.

In my opinion, the choice of which school to transfer to should be determined by what educational program you want and which school has the better one. Your degree is supposed to be the primary reason for attending college anyway, not fraternity.

Once you've determined which school will serve your academic needs better, then you should decide which fraternity to rush, not the other way around.

No, we sit at home all day singing hymns, weaving and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Good grief.

We're not Chico... but we have had some pretty decent parties. But being a commuter school... there aren't really HUGE parties that you may see in a college town.

Look... I don't care if you think school is "easy." You are paying tuition to GO TO SCHOOL, and therefore better yourself and get a career going. Going greek is icing on the cake... not the sole purpose of the college experience.

I used to rock and roll all night and party every day. Now I'm lucky if I can find 30 minutes a day with which to get funky.

Man i know about chico's reputation, i know that used to be the biggest for sure. But this year people are telling me the cops break up the party real quick because they have no tolerance. They have banned alcohol in the dorms. People told me they used to shut down streets a couple times a year and party but no more. So i wanted to know what its really like.

no man i dont that is why i am asking on here

Isn't Sacramento the armpit of California?

No, that would be Fresno. I believe Bakersfield trails at a close second.

(Sorry, DZGirl, you know I still love you!)

Fresno would be the armpit.... but really I'm not a big fan of Sacramento either, it's an odd city.

Look, if you want to party almost any college or university in california will provide more then enough if you can figure out who the right people to know are.

That being said, there are a few schools you might want to consider especially over sac state and chico,

UCSB - most beautifull school plus I.V. can't be beat its disgustingly fun.
San Diego State - Best party school in the nation period, oh and it's 20 mins from TJ
Long Beach State - Some of the most beautiful girls ever.

Sacramento is like going to west texas, just try and not do it.

There now you have your party info so go figure it out.

I really don't think it matters what school you go to. With an attitude like yours, I doubt you'll be there very long. Picking a college solely based on their greek life and if they are a hard core party school indicates that getting an EDUCATION is NOT the reason you are going to college.

You may think classes will be a cake walk, but once your reality check arrives and bitch slaps you in the face, you are in for a seriously rude awakening.

kddani 10-11-2005 11:20 AM

If school is so easy, you should transfer to a school that challenges you more, not one that's going to kill your brain cells from all of your partying there.

jcbeta07 10-11-2005 12:38 PM

This is more than enough for you to see whats up. Oh and dont worry about a ban on alcohol in the dorms . . .I dont know of any school in california that doesnt have one. Few people ever listen to that. And yeah, the afformentioned list is pretty much on the money. being at UCSB I couldn't imagine going to a commuter school out in the middle of no-where cali. I live on the beach, literally. IV is such a unique place, it really is. It's more of a state of mind. its the only school i know where people seriously surf in between classes (ucsb has its own beach). Again, #4 party school in the nation, according to this years Princeton Review (not just me ). And also voted the 2nd most in shape student body in the nation. and to top it all off, the average out of high school frehsman accepted had a +3.9 gpa this year. Good looks and brains. My best friend goes to SD state. That school rocks as well. He's also in a pretty big fraternity on campus. My only qualm with that is if you wanna have a close knitt college town feel you kinda have to go down to PB. Which isnt as convenient as say IV & UCSB. But all in all the two most beautifull and hardcore party schools in the state. HANDS DOWN
I guess it just depends where you can get into . . .
