I feel that many of the GCers who take up the case against the libs, dems, abortionists, unions, etc. are really the "equal time".

The mass media (newspapers, TV, NPR, Time, Newsweek, US News, etc.) have become the media wing of the Democratic party - freely and continually repeating everything that the dems, abortionists, unions, etc. spout.

Now, freely and continually repeating everything might be acceptable, if any other side or any critical analysis was included.

They allow Ted Kennedy to spout moral judgements condeming Bennett, but never mention the girl that died in TK's back seat while he left the scene to compose his alibi. How can he comment legitimately on morals?

(Latest Chappaquidick rumor: Mary Jo was passed out in the back seat, and unknowingly Kennedy and another girl got into the front seat to drive to a some secluded place. Didn't know until the car was pulled out that Mary Jo was there.)

As Edward R. Murrow wished: we're equal time. We love you all.

Hey hoosier, why don't you ever talk about how Laura Bush killed somebody too?

She was really sorry!!!

I'm going to preface this by saying that I don't think that either of these incidents have any political/public bearing now, as both have had to live with their mistakes for the rest of their lives. I don't think there's any worth in bringing up either of these accidents. I almost hate posting this as it will end up continuing a discussion that has no importance...

Actually, the Laura Bush incident was completely different from the one involving Senator Kennedy. While the Senator lied to police and fled the scene, Mrs. Bush, from all reports, cooperated with police and was upfront throughout. From every report I've heard or read about the incident, I don't see any connection besides the fact that someone died. One person fleed the scene, one did not.

I agree with you but I'm sick of hoosier being so anti-liberal. He's like a Cindy Sheehan on GC.

Exactly. That's why nobody ever calls John Kerry a killer even though he picked up a gun.

I hear you, it gets to the point where someone's being so critical and it gets under your skin. There are some posters who annoy me on both sides of the coin.

I'm a Republican living in Massachusetts so...well, I definitely know it's not something you get used to or can ignore.

I find this thread humorous because I don't think EITHER side has been shy in letting the other know when they think something has gone wrong. I think it's something that's done quite well on GC; members of each party are very adapt at criticizing the other side.

I've never heard anything except that it was a tragic auto accident.

Really a low blow.

Many have compared me to Edward R. Murrow and Will Rogers.

Since neither has ever appeared on MTV, you probably know not who they are.

Thinking I watch MTV is also a low blow, Monseiur. The last time I watched that piece of crap, Bush I was president.

Wait, she killed somebody? But she's a librarian! Librarians don't kill people!

(We just think about it an awful lot.)

I'm not too crazy about the Republicans or Democrats so I'm thinking about registering as a Librarian.

Or is that Libertarian?

I get so confused.
