No, that would not be rude. If the recuiter is calling you during the day and know you are at work, they should expect that you will need a moment to make sure you are not overheard.
I've had people tell me to give them a moment while they close the door, etc. and it was not a problem. Can you go to the conference room a few minutes before the call? If so, I would recommend that. If you have to walk a distance, and you are already excited you may be a little breathless and that is not good. I had this guy walk outside for a phone screen and he was breathing so hard if I hadn't called him I would think it was an obsene caller! |
