please don't make this thread into a hostile enviornment.

i am ready for the disappointments, but i am looking forward to the experience. whatever happens--good or bad--i know that the situation will strengthen me as a individual.

i am grateful to those who are honest and giving me support, advice, etc. it means a lot to me that people are willing to help.

with all this said, your comments will prepare me well to what waits ahead. (strange how i made that rhyme, but i didn't do it on purpose).

thank you.

ps.
i will ask around about the UCLA greek system when school starts.

If you haven't already, please do keep us updated on this. :) I know I was damn nervous about rushing since I'm a senior creditswise even though in actuality I'm more a junior than anything else.

I made it, so there's hope for you too. :)

I (finally) rushed as a Junior, and I got my top choice, and this past rush was definitely competitive. So there is hope.

There was an absolutely wonderful girl who transferred to my school after two years at a junior college. This girl had great grades, she was beautiful, she was so NICE!! She went through rush, I loved her. She was my roommate the next year.

Was it hard for her? Yes. There were several of us who basically had to launch a campaign for her because several sisters were against letting anyone who wasn't a freshman have a chance. We just had to get everyone to see that she was such a great girl!

I do echo all the opinions that say looking into informal recruitment. I agree that it's an excellent idea.:)

I remember her. Didn't she only stay one year though? She was in my pledge class I think and she graduated that year or something--?
