Yes...multiple times. It never really helped the situation. Inevitably, the subject matter changed and I just got it, or I would pay a little bit better attention in class. I never really studied in Jr. High or HS

I was never grounded, but that wasn't because I was a good kid.

I was a ROTTEN KID. My mom didn't believe in grounding, and she believed that if I made mistakes, I'd be paying for them later -- and that was punishment enough.

I once got suspended for 3 days my junior year in HS. She picked me up from school but never grounded me.

Ha ha ha, me too. I didn't get all As in college or high school (extremely competitive, 40 students, it sucked), but my parents didn't care as long as they knew I wasn't FUBAR-ing on purpose.

My parents used to get me cool presents for bringing home As, so I never brought home anything lower in middle/high schoo. Bribery is a great thing :)
