YOUR HISTORY: When you posted here for the first time a few months ago, you were planning to rush, but because of the hazing that went on at your high school, you were concerned you might end up in a GLO and be hazed.
It seems to me you have the common sense not to allow something like that to happen to you-- that you would walk away and report it.
WHO ARE YOU? But what I don't understand is that you've only ever posted in the Risk Management Forum. If you are a PNM, surely you would be interested in the positive aspects of sorority life. Why are you so hung up on anti-hazing education? Have you checked out the community service, social, campus life and recruitment aspects to sorority membership? You do realize that sororities, by nature, don't paddle and harrass their members, right? That isn't why they were created and with the exception of a few deviants who should not be members, we aren't in the business of breaking each other down.
Unless of course, you've lied in previous posts and you're just posting inflammatory information (instead of reporting it to the proper authorities).
GREEK STANCE ON HAZING: Anti-hazing education and reporting hazing to the proper sources are VERY important-- we want to protect our members from harm by ill-intentioned members (who should have their membership revoked through due process).
TO SUMMARIZE: Go away. You're not opening any kind of constructive dialogue. If you've observed specific hazing from photos posted online, please do report it. But this is a message board not a Greek HQ or University Administration.
