BOO on paying off that previous ring! I guess she didn't give it back? :( So has she said anything about the conversation after sobering up? |

I didnt ask for the ring back for several reasons. One reason is because it'd only make my ex think her mother was right in saying I was selfish. Another reason was it served as a reminder to always think with my brain and not my emotions. She hasnt said anything regarding the convo, in fact she's been so cool its not even funny. I'm guessing it was something she's wanted to tell me for a long time but for some reason she couldn't. I'm not trying to sound like a douche bag or anything, but something is different....like in a really good way. And not just with her but also with me. I don't know how to explain it or what to call it. It's just different. |
Awwww, Craig, young love sweethearts!!! That's too cute...
I guess, she needed all that rum to put it out there where she stands in regards to her feelings about you. The fact that you've know her "forever" means that at some subconscious level you do trust her over most other girls you've been with. Like you've seen homegirl develop into a woman... Most guys are lucky to see that happen in their lifetime and have the girl like them in return. What do you want to do now? |
Those are two different things. I know guys that are not faithful at all and love to chase strange tail . . . but they treat their Girlfriends great.
I also know more men that are faithful that treat their girlfriends either indifferently or badly. Some guys are great but just always need to see whats behind the next bush . . . Quote:

So, how's it going now that everybody's sober? Have you seen her at all since? |

She had me watch this movie called "notebook" not too long ago. It was the dumbest movie ever. But I think she knew what she was doing. I think she had me watch it with her to kind of hint thats what our relationship has been like, only my situation was like the chick's in that movie and her's was like the guy's. As far as what I want to do now, I don't have a clue. My mother called me up the other day just to "let me know" that whenever I decide to marry this girl  that she wants me to give her an heirloom ring that has been in our family for 5 generations and it would make my wife the 6th generation. Each generation has added their own diamonds to it. As it stands the ring has about 4 1/2 karats worth of diamonds in it according to my mother. Nobody ever wears it except on the wedding day. I think my mother has worn it maybe 3 times in her life. Anyways, I don't know what I'm going to do. As of now I'm taking it week by week. Its just a lot to handle being as this girl has been handpicked by both of my parents. I'm just now getting used to her being 5'1. Other than her being so damn short....she doesnt have any faults. Lately you've been a man of few words..... but I couldn't agree with you more in this post. |

So I worry that your posts won't be nearly as entertaining to read once you are MARRIED. Or even in a live-in relationship. Keep it exciting for us! |

She asked me one day if I liked Jessica Simpson's titties the most or Carmen Electra's. It was a tough choice but in the end I picked Jessica's. Next thing I know she's paying $11,000 and telling me she's getting surgery in a few weeks. But they're not the normal boob implants. Like they're some kind of fake tits that were injected. Personally, they're the nicest set of boobs I've ever seen in my life because they feel almost exactly like real ones but better. I forgot what type of thing she got but it's not the usual breast implant that women get for $5,000. She spent some cheese on those puppies and they're well worth it. As far as the live-in relationship goes....everyone keeps telling me I'm done. Why? |
WWWWWHHHHHHOOOOOOOOAAAAAA.......
I'll give her the benefit of the doubt b/c she may have just asked your opinion, she might have been considering that for a long time. But don't let her dupe you with all these hints and playing on your feelings for her. If she did that for you, she's definitely not ready to be married to ANYBODY. |

:D Hadn't thought of that, had you? |
I think AI makes people say crazy things.

Live-in.... I guess it's just that some people in live-in relationships aren't as free-spirited anymore. Less spontaneity, less staying up all night drinking Venezuelan rum, no "call Cash up at the last minute to go out." You will find yourself asking permission before making plans. And these things aren't bad if that's what you're ready for. It's basically marriage without the paper to prove it. It works for some, not for others. It worked for me.... You'll have to make sacrifices, and judging from the few posts of yours that I've read, a lot of the things you enjoy doing will be among these sacrifices. Everyone gives up a certain amount of freedom in this situation, and if you are happy with that, you will be just fine. :) BUT, judging from your comments that things have been quite nice recently, perhaps it is that time for you. Perhaps it IS time to settle down. At least you are trying it out before walking down the aisle. There are a great many people who have reasons for not liking the live-in situation. I think it is good to know a person's nasty habits and gross details before marriage. If you just live in and break up, one of you moves. If you are married and then find out you just can't live together, it is considerably tougher to end things. |
