The best part of that radio edit is that the line before that isn't edited to remove the word 'dick,' so it goes, "Her boyfriend's a dick, he brings a [-] to school/ he'd probably kick my ass if he knew the truth... " 2 words arguably worse than 'gun' are left IN the same line - love it, how brilliant |

Lately, I've noticed the hard rock station in our area is no longer editing words they used to edit a few years ago.
"assh0le" is no longer edited in Bush's Everything Zen 'fcuk" is no longer edited in Pearl Jam's Jeremy (those are two I can think of right off the top of my head) I don't know if the station feels its listeners are more likely going to be older, or what, but I have noticed they're editing less than they used to. |

When I lived in another part of the state years ago, I remember hearing "Hot In Here" (Nelly) and the radio censoring the part about them taking their clothes off!! As far as I know this was the only radio station that did that and that part was the one of the best on the song.

My favorite part about the "Hash Pipe" edit was how it ended up sounding like "sh*t pipe."

Ok - let me see if I can recall how they edited...
Remember that old Warren G/Nate Dogg song - Regulators -- In Georgia, I heard it like 5 times a day on one of those play everything stations. At the end, the song goes: If you know like I know you don't wanna step to this It's the G-Funk era funked out with a gangsta twist if you smoke like I smoke then you high like everyday and if your ass is a buster 213 will regulate The edit does something like this (seems stupid to me): If you know like I know you don't wanna step to this It's the G-Funk era funked out with a gangsta twist if you smoke like I smoke then you high like everyday It's the G-Funk era funked out with a gangsta twist Ummm..."funked," "smoke," "high"?? And why couldn't they edit "and if your ass is a buster/213 will regulate." Does anyone have an idea about this one? |
