This was asked by a Member of TKE on another thread, and my advice was "While they may be a Legacy", If they do not fit they dont fit. It is up to the individual Chapter to decide Yea or Nay.

As was said, if they are a real tool or a problem of not fitting into the formate then dont waste your time and maybe lose someone who would really be a hand in glove fit.:)

The idea is to keep building and lasting.

Maybe I'm just jaded because, in my recruitment experience, being a legacy meant nothing. If they didn't like you, you'd be cut like anyone else. [/B]
DITTO, DITTO, DITTO...it didn't mean sh*t at our school either. I had a girl in my chapter who's mother was the freakin president of another chapter at my school and they didn't even keep her past the first round.

As well as my experience where my sister was the current chapter president of a Kentucky chapter of XYZ on my campus when I went through recruitment and I was dropped.

As I recall if we were going to drop a legacy we had to have our Collegiate Province Officer sign off on it and we had to have a really good reason. My mom, two aunts and grandmother were all Sigma Kappas at different schools than I went to and I like to think they would have pledged me anyway....or so I was told.
